Families ask us all the time whether their child should attend the funeral, and our answer is almost always yes, though parents know their child best. Children benefit from being part of these important moments, even when they're hard to understand.

Funerals give kids a chance to say goodbye in their own way, ask the questions that are spinning in their heads, and see that adults cry and feel sad too. They get to be surrounded by people who loved the same person they did, and that connection often helps them make sense of what death means. Most importantly, they learn that grieving together is how families heal.

🎄❤️ As we prep for the upcoming cemetery floral deliveries, we reflect. Fifteen years ago, when a local flower shop closed, the owner asked us to continue her Christmas cemetery flower deliveries. It wasn’t just about placing flowers, it was about honoring memories and making sure loved ones were never forgotten. We promised to continue that tradition, and we’re grateful we did.

Today, that small act of kindness has grown into a year-round program serving 10+ cemeteries. This past year alone, we placed 150 silk arrangements for 60 families, helping keep resting places beautiful in every season.

As we get ready for our wreath deliveries, we’re feeling especially thankful—for the families who trust us, for the kind words and stories shared with us, and for the chance to carry on something so meaningful.

Saying their name out loud brings them back, even if it’s just for a moment. You remember their laugh, humming while they folded laundry, the little things that made them... them.

We might not get to make new memories, but saying their name keeps the cherished ones close. Saying it keeps their presence alive in everyday conversation. And when someone else says their name, it reminds us that we’re not the only ones remembering, which is its own kind of gift.
