💙 April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month 💙

This April, Kossuth Regional Health Center stands with survivors and the communities that support them. Sexual Assault Awareness Month is a powerful reminder of the importance of breaking the silence, educating ourselves, and advocating for a world free from sexual violence. Every voice matters. Every action counts.

Staff and visitors are invited to stop by the cafeteria and leave a motivational message on our Sexual Assault Awareness Month poster to show support and solidarity.

To learn more about understanding sexual abuse, assault, and harassment—or how you can help—reliable resources are available from the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC).

This week, we are also proud to recognize our Patient Access Team and extend our sincere appreciation for the essential role they play in every patient’s experience at Kossuth Regional Health Center.

Patient Access is often the first—and sometimes most critical—point of contact for our patients and families. From scheduling and registration to insurance verification, and wayfinding, this team's work ensures that patients feel informed, supported, and welcomed from the very beginning of their journey with us.
Behind every successful visit or admission is a Patient Access professional navigating complex processes while keeping the patient at the center of everything they do.
During Patient Access Week, we thank you for your dedication, adaptability, and commitment to excellence. Your work truly makes a difference!!
Please join us in recognizing and thanking our Patient Access team for all they do. 🙂

Happy National Public Health Week! We want to take a moment to thank and celebrate our Community Health Department and the vital role they play in caring for the health of our community every day.

Community Health works tirelessly behind the scenes—and often on the front lines—to promote prevention, education, and access to care. From health screenings and outreach efforts to partnerships that address chronic disease, mental well‑being, and health equity, their work touches lives across Kossuth County and beyond.

Public health is not just about responding to illness—it’s about building healthier futures. This group's dedication, compassion, and expertise help ensure that individuals and families in our region have the resources and support they need to thrive.
Please join us in celebrating and thanking our Community Health Department this week!!

We are so proud of our employee-owned KRHC Cares Committee for their generous monthly donations to local non-profits! The most recent organization the committee chose to support was the Algona BARK School Food Pantry. A check for $440 was presented to James Rotert, AMS Principal and Crystal Bronson, Special Ed Associate and BARK Coordinator.

This amazing program supports students facing food insecurity. Its mission is to provide easy access to food and other essential items for students in need, ensuring they don't have to navigate complex processes to receive assistance.
