🌽 Help Us Fight Hunger in Kossuth County! 🥫

Did you know over 1,200 people in Kossuth County face food insecurity? KRHC’s County Community Health team is taking action with Food Lending Boxes—available 24/7 at five locations across Algona:

📍 KRHC Clinic (South entrance)
📍 Divine Mercy Parish (North side)
📍 Trinity Lutheran Church (Elm Street side)
📍 First Lutheran Church (West side entrance)
📍 Bishop Garrigan School (Main entrance sidewalk)

These boxes are open year-round for anyone in need—and for donations! Whether it’s a few extra cans from your grocery trip or shelf-stable snacks, every contribution helps a neighbor.

💖The KRHC Cares Committee presented our latest donation to Ally Studer with the Kossuth County C.A.R.E. Team. 💖

The Kossuth County C.A.R.E. Team (Child Assistance Resource & Education Team) is a nonprofit organization that provides essential support to families and individuals in need throughout the county. This includes the local food pantry, Loving Hands Nursery, Guardian Angel Program, Youth Recreation Fund, gathering of clothing and household items, school supplies and holiday gifts. Their mission centers on preventing child abuse, supporting household stability, and promoting early childhood care

The C.A.R.E. Team accepts monetary donations, clothing, household items, and furniture (with some exceptions). Some needs Ally mentioned this morning are:
--Bath towels
--Silverware
--Bed sheets (queen seems to be the most popular)
--Mattresses

We are so proud of our KRHC Cares Committee - an employee-owned initiative where staff members make a direct impact on our local community by contributing monthly donations to local non-profits. This generous group of employees was able to donate a record $405 for the month of July to the C.A.R.E. Team.
