Snowy weather didn’t slow down the fun at Men’s Club today! ❄️ The guys gathered for a luncheon with Tim Wilsey, who stopped by to share fascinating stories about famous Irish gangsters and the Irish Mob. With plenty of history, laughter, and great conversation, it was the perfect way to spend a wintery afternoon together.

We had a wonderful time celebrating a very special birthday — Mickey’s 101st! 🎉

If you know Mickey, you know she’s our talented resident seamstress who always seems to have a needle, thread, and a smile ready to go. Over the years she’s stitched together not only beautiful creations, but also so many friendships in our community.

We gathered to celebrate this incredible milestone with laughter, sweet treats, and plenty of birthday cheer. At 101 years young, Mickey is still sewing together kindness, creativity, and a little bit of magic everywhere she goes. 🧵✨

🎭💜💛💚 Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Residents had a wonderful time celebrating the flavors and traditions of New Orleans by making a homemade King Cake as part of our signature Embrace the World program! As we mixed, baked, and decorated our cake in festive Mardi Gras colors, we also learned about the rich history and traditions behind this famous treat.

The most exciting moment? Slicing the cake to see who would find the baby inside! Tradition says the lucky person who finds it is blessed with good fortune—and might even get to bring the next King Cake to the party!

It was a delicious way to explore the culture, flavors, and fun of New Orleans together. 💜💛💚

Our Memory Care residents have been having a wonderful week filled with creativity, music, and a little friendly competition!

To get into the Irish spirit, we created beautiful shamrock suncatchers and enjoyed dancing along to lively Irish tunes with our live entertainment this week. We also traveled (in spirit!) to New Orleans for our Embrace the World program, where residents helped make homemade King Cake while learning about the city’s rich culture and traditions. And of course, the fun didn’t stop there—our residents even went on some exciting XBOX Bowling adventures, cheering each other on and celebrating every strike!

It’s been a joyful week full of laughter, learning, and great memories. 💚

Happy National Cereal Day! 🥣💛

Today in Memory Care, we took a sweet stroll down memory lane as we learned about the history of cereal — including the early days of colorful cereal boxes and the big “branding battles” that made breakfast fun and recognizable for generations. Did you know that one of the first cereal prizes was introduced in the early 1900s? Companies quickly realized that a little surprise in the box made breakfast even more exciting!

We talked about how cereal became a pantry staple in so many households and how everyone had their “go-to” favorite growing up. After our history chat, we each picked out a favorite Kellogg’s cereal to enjoy as an afternoon snack — sparking smiles, stories, and a few friendly debates about which one is truly the best!

There’s nothing like a simple bowl of cereal to bring back warm memories. 🥄✨
