“It’s been exciting to watch Sandy lock-in. She flipped the switch from “I’m just happy to be here” to “Let’s see what I can do” and the change is obvious in her results. Sandy shows up as her authentic self every day and I don’t think she fully realizes the impact she has on others to do the same. I admire her ability to dive in and do the dang thing, even when she is nervous. Sandy is an icon and she’s just getting started!

Today this phrase hits a little different for us. While our business is small our impact is tremendous.

What may seem “small” in the business world is everything to us. Being small business owners is not a small feat by any means, but it has been one of the most rewarding and fulfilling endeavors of our lives.

Watching this community grow from a single room of hope and hustle into something that now spans to Batavia, McHenry, South Elgin, and the Hyrox Performance Center has been incredible. To see each facility thrive with its own energy, its own leaders, and its own heartbeat is something we never take for granted.

3rd Place Male!!

From walking into CKF completely new to the gym AND new to nutrition, to finishing this Max Burn Challenge with one of the biggest mindset and physical transformations, Rob showed everyone what’s possible when you commit.

In just 8 weeks, Rob dropped:
👉 18.1 lbs
👉 4.8% body fat
👉 8 total inches lost
(Waist + Hip + Arm + Thigh combined)

But the inside changes are what we’re most proud of…

❤️ Heart Rate Recovery Test:

Day 1:
• Max HR: 171
• Recovery time: 2:00

Day 56:
• Max HR: 164
• Recovery time: 1:28

That is a MASSIVE improvement in cardiovascular fitness.

This is what next-level coaching looks like at Cross Kicks Fitness.

I have had the privilege of training with Cole for the better part of 2025…First, leading up to Hyrox NYC, and then again leading up to Hyrox Chicago and the experience has been nothing short of transformative. I approached Cole to coach me given his exceptional reputation, expertise, and credibility in Hyrox training. But also because of his demeanor and coaching style. He takes the time to understand my goals and where my current abilities are, and crafts a game plan to improve in the specific areas needed. He is comprehensive and clear in communicating objectives of each movement and clarify proper form and technique – which I really appreciate.

Cole incorporates numerous training types into our sessions ranging from strength, threshold training, and running. He’s also given me guidance on mobility exercises to prevent old injuries from recurring.

I have learned so much and progressed in every facet of my fitness since working with Cole. My running economy has improved, I have a command of my threshold pace on every ERG machine and have gotten faster on all of them. My strength has improved, and ultimately, I hit a new PR in my last Hyrox race. Cole has gone above and beyond to help me build my specific race strategy which has been a game-changer for me in the mental part of hybrid racing – I feel so much more in control over my race.

Cole pushes me out of my comfort zone and keeps me moving forward. I would not have achieved the results without his guidance and confidence in my ability to take on new weights, challenges, etc. Where I would have otherwise held back, Cole says “you got this, I have confidence in you!”

I can’t recommend Cole highly enough – I plan to continue working with him as I chase my next set of goals!

Tara “The Definition of Showing Up”

There are transformations… and then there are BOOT transformations.
And what Tara did these past weeks was jaw-dropping.

From day one she showed up with that same energy we all know her for,
positive, smiling, encouraging everyone around her, commenting in the group pages, sharing nutrition tips, cheering people on even when she was exhausted herself.
That’s who she is. That’s why people gravitate toward her.
And THAT is why she earned every inch of this transformation.

But let’s talk results… because the numbers speak louder than anything:

EmpowerHER started with one of our own. When Meg Fischer walked into our community carrying the weight of a tragedy no family should ever face, she carried something else too…the belief that even the darkest moments can spark change. This event is our promise to honor that belief, to show up for one another, and to make space for conversations that can save lives.
Below is a message from Meg.

How I strive to empowHER…

My name is Meg Fischer and I never imagined my life would be shaped by the aftermath of a triple homicide. In the Fall of 2023, my cousin, her ten-month-old son, and her unborn daughter were murdered by her husband. I am a member of the Cross Kicks community, mother of three young children, a professional in healthcare advocacy, and someone who deeply believes in the goodness of people. But late in 2023, I answered the phone early one morning and heard a sentence that will echo in my ears for the rest of my life. I was told, “Jeremy killed Kali. He took the baby, and no one knows where he is.”
In the days that followed, I left my kids and husband and drove across the country to stand in the middle of my cousin’s shattered future. I was one of the family members who offered support in handling the aftermath. We sat through hearings, answered questions from reporters and navigated the painful logistics that follow a homicide. I’ve searched to find a way for the power of this grief to give more than it takes. To reflect on how we got here and look for opportunities where the outcome could have changed. She was strong, brilliant, and confident. She was also being bullied, manipulated, and controlled. I often wonder if the right conversation with someone she respected and trusted would have changed anything…everything.

It can sometimes seem overwhelming to think about how to make an impact against intimate partner violence and the devastation it leaves in its wake. What I have concluded is that how I choose to show-up for the people around me can be what makes the biggest difference. Encouraging others to show up in the same way might just be what tips the scales. I strive to be someone’s soft place to land. The space that is free of judgement. Free of criticism. Free of blame. I often wonder if Kali knew I would have been that place for her. Did she know I would have moved heaven and earth for her. I carry guilt everyday that I could have done more, reached out more, made sure she knew I was fiercely in her corner. At times when I could have said something, I’m sure I held back for fear that she would push me away. In the end, I lost her anyway.

There is no right way to let someone know that you are their safe harbor, but what I encourage is that when you look at the people around you, think of Kali. Think of Zeke and Freya. You never know the secret battles the people around you might be fighting, and they may never need your support. But what I can tell you with certainty is that you will never regret making sure they know you will be there for them, even if they never need it.

If you’ve ever trained next to Dylan, you already know…
He is one of the hardest-working, most positive guys in the room. No excuses. No complaining. Just shows up, gives everything, and lifts the energy of everyone around him.

And his results? ABSOLUTE FIRE.

Over this Max Burn challenge, Dylan completely transformed his body composition….
the RIGHT way:

💥 13.1 lbs DOWN
💥 10 inches lost total
• Waist: –4.5 in
• Hips: –4 in

Cross Kicks Fitness™ is a passion led, grit inspired, and community driven by people that truly love the game. Brand owners Abby and Tony Wuebker have have dedicated their lives to health and fitness. They extend their gratitude to the amazing extended family they have built, their “FitFam” and home, Cross Kicks Fitness.

Founded in 2013, Cross Kicks Fitness™ entered the market space with a cutting edge concept and one of the hottest new fitness brands. Bringing all of the latest fitness modalities including functional cross training, strength, conditioning, and a burst of boxing and kickboxing with No Class Times and a dedicated trainer leading the workouts CKF has gained quick popularity.

They started their first location in Roselle, Illinois with plans to continue growing. They have expanded their team of trainers that share their desire to help people achieve fitness success. The success and excitement of the members, the community, and training staff is what has driven the business to expand so rapidly.
