✨ Twin Lakes Academy Dental Mobile Visit ✨

Our Tzu Chi Mobile Dental Clinic visited Twin Lakes Elementary School in El Monte, providing compassionate, on-site dental care to students as part of our ongoing work with the Mountain View School District. 🦷💙

With the support of our dentists, assistants, and medical team, 27 students received dental check-ups and professional cleanings, helping them establish healthy habits and achieve brighter smiles. 😁✨

At Tzu Chi Medical Foundation, we believe that access to healthcare should never be a barrier, especially for children. By partnering with local schools, we provide preventative dental care, early detection, and oral health education right where students learn and grow.

Thank you to the school staff, our volunteers, and our mobile clinic team for making this day possible. Together, we continue to bring love, care, and relief to our community. 💙🚐

High blood pressure is a silent killer—you usually won’t feel it, even when it’s dangerously high. That’s why changing your medication based on “how you feel” can be unsafe.

What to remember:
• Symptoms don’t reflect your true blood pressure
• Don’t change meds without a doctor
• Med changes take days to show results
• Long-term control protects you from stroke, heart disease & kidney damage

Healthy habits that help:
🌿 Low-salt meals
🌿 Moderate exercise
🌿 Stress reduction
🌿 Quit smoking
🌿 Limit alcohol

💙 Compassionate Care in Alhambra 💙

At Tzu Chi’s very first clinic in Alhambra, our team provides one-stop, patient-centered care, including medical services, dental, optometry, acupuncture, and on-site treatment.

Patients share how quickly they’re seen, how warmly they’re treated, and how supported they feel navigating their health needs. Our approach goes beyond symptoms. We consider each person’s lifestyle and challenges to help them live healthier, happier lives.

For many in our community, Tzu Chi is a trusted source of guidance, dignity, and compassionate care. 🌿

💙 Bringing Compassion and Connection to Senior Care 💙.

As social isolation continues to impact the well-being of older adults, we joined hands with the Health Consortium of San Gabriel Valley to foster collaboration, share insights, and strengthen community care for our seniors at the November Full Group Meeting.

Led by Dr. Stephen Denq, who shared Tzu Chi’s mission of compassionate healthcare, the 11/4 event at the Tzu Chi San Gabriel Valley Service Center united community leaders and nonprofits to exchange ideas and strengthen support for vulnerable seniors.

Distinguished speakers Diana Chung of the Asian Youth Center and Patricia D. Tucker of Set for Life shared impactful insights on collaboration, culturally responsive care, and supporting vulnerable seniors with dignity and connection.

Participants shared ideas to strengthen health equity and community support in the San Gabriel Valley, closing the day with gratitude, partnership, and a shared commitment to ensure no one faces isolation. 💞

🌿 A Better Meal, A Better Earth 🌿

During the height of the pandemic, Tzu Chi Medical Foundation launched a heartfelt campaign, “A Better Meal, A Better Earth,” to care for those who cared for us.

Healthy food fuels healers, and thousands of plant-based meals have been delivered to healthcare workers across the country. Meals that nourished both body and spirit.

Each lunchbox carries more than food. It carries a message:
🥗 Health begins with compassion.
🌎 A vegetarian diet protects our planet.
💞 Mindful choices nurture love and wellness for all beings.
As Dharma Master Cheng Yen reminds us, “When we choose compassion, we bring peace to the Earth.”

Make a difference, one mindful meal at a time. 💚

❤️ Keeping Coverage, Keeping Care ❤️

Each year, thousands of families depend on Medi-Cal for their health care, but many don’t realize it must be renewed annually to stay active.

At Tzu Chi Medical Foundation, we’ve met patients who came in worried after losing coverage. Not because they no longer qualified, but because they missed a renewal notice or forgot to update their address. 💌

That’s why we’re reminding everyone:
📅 A renewal form usually arrives two months before your coverage ends.
✉️ Return it by the deadline, and include proof of identity and income.
🏠 If you’ve moved, tell your Social Services Office so you don’t miss important mail.

Your health shouldn’t be interrupted.

Need guidance? Watch our Medi-Cal Renewal Webinar to learn how to stay covered:

🪇 Celebrating Community and Culture at “Corazón del Valle”

In a festive celebration of the , the Active San Gabriel Valley - Active SGV “Corazón del Valle” event brought lively music, vibrant decorations, and joyful visitors in colorful costumes and face paint to the streets of South El Monte on November 2.

Organized by the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments, more than ten volunteers from the Tzu Chi Medical Foundation and Tzu Chi USA Headquarters joined the celebration to share information about Tzu Chi’s humanitarian missions, promote the Tzu Chi Health Center, and raise awareness about California’s Medi-Cal program.

Adding youthful energy and compassion, members of the Tzu Chi El Monte Tzu Shao youth group supported the event’s “water stations.” Whether walking, running, biking, scootering, or rollerblading, participants were helped by the young volunteers to stay hydrated throughout the day. 🚴‍♀️💦

🦷 Did you know feeling your best starts with a healthy smile? 💙

Follow these simple tips to keep your smile strong and your body healthy every day! 😁✨

👩‍⚕️ Visit your dentist regularly — they’ll check your teeth are growing properly, help keep them clean, and make sure your mouth stays healthy.

🥤 Avoid sugary drinks and snacks between meals. Too much sugar can cause cavities — and our bodies feel better when we choose healthy food and drinks. 🍎

🪥 Brush every morning and night!
✅ Brush all sides of your teeth for 2 minutes
✅ Use fluoride toothpaste
✅ Spit, don’t rinse after brushing

A healthy smile means a healthier you! 🌿 Visit to learn more about Tzu Chi Medical Foundation or to make an appointment: https://tzuchimedical.us/

Special thanks were given by the Brahma Vihara Myanmar Monastery and the Burmese Buddhist community to Dr. Stephen Denq, Nancy Chen, Amy Kao, and the Tzu Chi Medical team for their professionalism, compassion, and efficiency throughout the day. During the annual Buddhist Tipitaka Abhidhamma Chanting Event, Venerable Candobhassa of Kentucky and several other monks shared heartfelt praise for Dr. Lina Lin and her assistant for their kindness, patience, and attentive care.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the Progressive Buddhist Association and Brahma Vihara Myanmar Monastery for their trust and partnership, and to all our staff and volunteers whose compassion continues to illuminate the path of service in order to safeguard health with love and gratitude. 🌿
