We always use utmost care and attention to treat the poor and the sick, providin

g medical care. During disasters, TIMA volunteers cooperate with Tzu Chi Disaster Relief Committee by going to the disaster area to help treat the sick and wounded victims. To better serve our community, Tzu Chi Health Centers in Alhambra and South El Monte are expanding access with Monday services! 🌿

🕒 New Hours of Operation:
Monday – Saturday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
📍 Alhambra Health Center
Starting April 20, Monday services will include full care: medical, dental, and acupuncture.
📍 South El Monte Health Center
Currently offering medical and dental services on Mondays, with vision and acupuncture services coming soon.

This expansion means more access to the care you need when you need it.

💉👄✨ April is a Month of Prevention & Awareness ✨👄💉

From Adolescent Immunization Action Week (April 6–10) to Oral Cancer Awareness Month, this April is a reminder that prevention and early action can protect lives.

Vaccines play a critical role in safeguarding preteens and teens against serious illnesses like meningitis, whooping cough, and HPV-related cancers—while also helping reduce long-term risks, including certain oral cancers.

👄 Know the signs of oral cancer:
Be aware of symptoms like persistent sores, red or white patches, lumps, or ongoing discomfort. Risk factors such as HPV, to***co use, and alcohol make awareness even more important.

💙 Early prevention + early detection = stronger, healthier communities.

Our Mobile Dental Clinic provided dental X-rays, examinations, and cleanings for unhoused patients, helping relieve pain and restore dignity through essential care.

👁️ April 1 | Parkview School, El Monte
Our Mobile Vision Clinic transformed classrooms into eye care spaces, providing screenings, exams, and prescriptions for students, all completed conveniently on-site.

From supporting unhoused neighbors to helping students see clearly in the classroom, each visit reflects our mission to remove barriers and serve with compassion. 💙✨

Our Dental Mobile Clinic team recently visited Baker and Payne Elementary Schools (Mountain View School District) to make learning about oral health fun, engaging, and impactful for young students 🦷✨

Through interactive demonstrations using stuffed animals and hands-on props, our dentists taught students the essentials of proper brushing and flossing: skills that build the foundation for lifelong healthy habits.

In addition to education, the team also provided preliminary dental examinations, helping identify early needs and promote preventative care.

Access to health education at a young age can truly change lives. By empowering children with the knowledge and tools to care for their teeth, we’re investing in healthier futures, one smile at a time 💙

✔️ Support for depressive symptoms

💙 Continuing Care Across Our Communities 💙

In March, we were was honored to bring compassionate care to both Monrovia and El Monte through our Mobile Clinic services. 🌿

🦷 March 14 | Foothills Kitchen, Monrovia
Our Mobile Dental Clinic provided dental screenings for unhoused neighbors—helping address urgent needs and reduce barriers to care.

👁️ March 18 | Twin Lakes School, El Monte
Our Mobile Vision Clinic provided eye examinations and eyeglasses for students, supporting clearer vision and better learning in the classroom.

From serving unhoused individuals to supporting students, each visit reflects our commitment to meeting people where they are with dignity, compassion, and care. 💙✨

🦷💙 Providing healthier smiles at Baker Elementary School! 💙🦷

Through Tzu Chi’s Mobile Clinic, we delivered care at Baker Elementary School in El Monte, transforming a school space into a welcoming dental clinic for students on March 12.

Our team provided dental X-rays, examinations, and cleanings to students, ensuring essential preventive care right where they learn and grow.

By bringing care directly onto campus, we continue to remove barriers and support healthier smiles for every child. 🌿✨

We joined our community partners at All Saints Church for an interfaith gathering honoring the lives of unhoused Pasadena residents who passed away over the past year. Together, we remembered our unhoused neighbors with compassion, reflection, and prayer.

Across all faith traditions, one value remains constant: love. And showing love and care for our most vulnerable neighbors is what truly matters.

Our volunteers joined a memorial on February 23, 2026, at All Saints Church to honor members of Pasadena’s unhoused community who passed away over the past year.

In addition to paying tribute, our team provided dental care through the Tzu Chi Dental Mobile Clinic, helping address the significant barriers to dental services that many unhoused individuals face.

Through compassion and service, we continue working to support the health and dignity of our unhoused neighbors in Pasadena, California.
