VFW Unmet Needs provides grants of up to $1,500 to veterans, service members and their families during times of financial difficulties that are related to military service. From transitioning out of the military to military related injuries, they VFW is here to help.

To all Veterans the JWC Veterans Office will be hosting a Su***de Prevention and Veteran Resource Clinic on January 15,16. We are looking for anyone interested in donating some type of food and beverages for our Veterans while they attend the free clinic. Anyone interested please let me know. I will have numerous representatives from the Veteran Affairs Office,Texas Veterans Commission,Coastal Bend Food Bank,Vet Center,Community Action Corp of South Texas, and any other organization interested in joining us let me know. Please Share!!!!!

Don’t forget my fellow Veterans to come out and enjoy the day with some fun in the sun. Area will have plenty of shade so it should be comfortable for all. We will also have a Veteran fan drive going on as well sponsored by our very own Miss Alice Texas 2019 Gabriella. Please bring a Military ID or VA card so that you can receive your fan. Share away!

Veterans Office is looking for cans similar to this so we can start a Veterans Food Drive. If you would like to participate and decorate one yourself I am thinking of having a Veteran Food Drive decoration can Contest. Winner will get a plaque for their place of business or organization. What you all think? Please Share

Spread the word to all Veterans to come on by the VFW in Alice Tx on April 29, 2019 starting at 10am. We will form 2 lines and one will be for the public and the other for our Veterans. Bring some form of ID if you are a Veteran and you will receive an extra prize. Anyone wishing to volunteer for the event please let me know and we greatly appreciate it.
