What a special week it has been at Aliceville Manor Nursing Home! 💙

Last week, we celebrated our nurses with a delicious potato bar provided by Amedisys and ended the week with a wonderful Mother’s Day luncheon honoring the amazing mothers in our facility.

Earlier this week, we officially kicked off National Nursing Home Week with a balloon lift off and were honored to welcome Mayor Windham as he presented a proclamation recognizing Nursing Home Week and the importance of long term care communities.

We also celebrated with a fun Color Party where each department represented their assigned color and brought matching snacks to share with residents. We visited Pate Lake for some fishing and The Univeristy of Alabama Arboretum. It has been fun filled so far with laughter, teamwork, and lots of smiles!

Thank you to everyone who helped make these moments so special for our residents and staff. We are thankful for the opportunity to celebrate the people who make our facility feel like home every single day. 💙

What a week it’s been at Aliceville Manor Nursing Home ❤️

We wrapped up National Nurses Week with a BBQ celebration for an incredible team that shows up day after day with compassion, grit, patience, and heart for our residents and one another.

From early mornings and long shifts to the moments nobody else sees… nursing is more than a job here. It’s service. It’s sacrifice. It’s CARE in action.

To every nurse, CNA, med aide, and nursing support team member — thank you for the care you give, the comfort you bring, and the difference you make every single day.

This week was just a small way to celebrate a team that deserves recognition year-round.

At Aliceville Manor Nursing Home, we are beyond blessed to have nurses whose experience, compassion, and dedication have impacted countless lives over the years.

During National Nurses Week, we want to recognize two extraordinary nurses:

🩺 Deborah Hughes – 50 years of nursing experience
🩺 Dalene Hill – 50 years of nursing experience

That is a combined 100 YEARS of serving, caring for, advocating for, and loving others through nursing. What an incredible legacy.

In a world where healthcare can often feel rushed and exhausting, nurses like Deborah and Dalene remind us what true dedication to people looks like. Their wisdom, strength, and servant hearts have shaped not only patient care, but generations of healthcare workers around them.

Thank you both for the sacrifices you’ve made, the lives you’ve touched, and the example you continue to set every single day. 💙

It has been a FUN and full week at Aliceville Manor Nursing Home as we’ve celebrated our residents and incredible nursing team! 💙

Last Thursday for National Tie Dye Day, our residents showed off their creativity making colorful tie dye t-shirts, and let’s just say… they absolutely understood the assignment and had a blast. 🌈👕

This week also kicked off National Nurses Week, and we’ve loved getting to spoil and celebrate the people who care for our residents day in and day out.

So far this week included:
☀️ Breakfast from Jack’s
🍩 Donuts to start the morning right
🧋 Homemade cold coffee
🍋 Homemade lemonade
🌮 A taco party for our nursing team today

We are incredibly thankful for our residents, families, and staff who make this building feel like home every single day. 💙

A special thank you to our Administrator, Mary Alice, for bringing Sugar by for a visit with our residents. Animal therapy brings a unique kind of comfort, joy, and connection—and Sugar did not disappoint.

From happy smiles to gentle cuddles, this visit brightened so many hearts and reminded us how powerful simple moments can be.

Our halls were filled with smiles, laughter, music, and so much joy as we celebrated our Denim & Diamonds Prom💃🕺

From the beautiful outfits to the dancing and special moments shared, this evening was a reminder that fun, friendship, and making memories never go out of style. Our residents truly shined and made the night unforgettable.

We are so thankful for the staff, families, and everyone who helped make this event so special for those we are honored to serve each day.

Because at Aliceville Manor, life is meant to be celebrated at every age. ❤️

The residents & staff of Aliceville Manor Nursing Home would like to express our sincere condolences to the family of our beloved Dr. Dale Robbins.
Dr. Robbins was much more than our longtime Medical Director. He was our friend, leader, mentor, and so often inspiration. For so many years he has been a pilar of our home.
Dr. Robbins dedicated his life to serving our community. He made life-long impressions on our staff, residents, & families. We will always cherish our memories of him. Our home & community are better places because of Dr. Dale Robbins. 💔
