▪️Due to the overwhelming amount of orders I've received, along with some technical difficulties (darn printer), my normal ship out time (3-5 business days) may be delayed an extra couple days. This is Sampson...he's 3 years old and eats everything! When making my herb garden we put a fence up just so that he couldn't eat all my herbs and also for safety.
I love my herbs; the smells, how beautiful they are and the many benefits. But always educate yourself with herbs you're interested in for yourself, family member and for your fur babies.

This is a friendly reminder to start your fire cider for the cold/flu season to come.

WHAT IS FIRE CIDER❓

Fire cider is a spicy tonic used to boost the immune system. It also may improve blood circulation and digestion. It has many great benefits with food, spices and herbs that we typically have in our cupboards.
Similar tonics have been used in traditional medicine in the past. This one was developed in the late 70's by Rosemary Gladstar, an herbalist and founder of the California School of Herbal Studies.
Fire cider combines hot, sweet, pungent, and sour tastes into one drink. The original recipe requires:
-Fresh garlic
-Fresh ginger
-Horseradish
-Onions
-Cayenne pepper
You soak these ingredients in apple cider vinegar (with the "mother") for 4 weeks and shake the jar daily. I leave mine on a shelf in the kitchen to remind myself to give it a shake. After the 4 weeks you strain and add honey to your likeness and store in fridge for up to one year.
You can also add to enhance flavor and target more health ailments. Examples:
-Turmeric/Peppercorns
-Rosehip
-Jalapenos
-Lemons
-Oranges
-Astragalus
-Echinacea
-Organo
-Rosemary
When cold/flu season is around the corner, our family will take 2 tablespoons daily to support your immune system. If you’re not a fan of strong flavors, you may want to dilute it with water before taking.
You could also add the tonic to other recipes, such as soups, sauces, salad dressing, marinades, and meat dishes.
What a great way to enhance our immunity with food...natural, easy and affordable.
