📢 Important Announcement from ACCI
After nearly four decades of dedicated service, Augmentative Communication Consultants, Inc. (ACCI) will be closing its doors on September 30th, as our founder, Millie Telega, retires and begins a new chapter.
Since 1987, ACCI has been driven by one mission: to give a voice to those who cannot speak. From early collaborations introducing groundbreaking devices such as the Alltalk and SpeechPac, to developing our own innovations such as the ACCI Choice Communicator, Phoenix and ACCI MultiPac- technologies that became lifelines for individuals unable to speak. Over the years, we have trained Speech-Language Pathologists across the country on AAC, as well as advocating and navigating the complex landscape of medical insurance funding for communication devices-long before it became a standard practice. We’ve been honored to support families, clinicians and individuals with complex communication needs who taught us what it truly means to listen-and what it means to be heard.
ACCI was established before I became a stepmother to a medically fragile child with cognitive and physical challenges. That personal experience deepened my commitment to the families we serve — reinforcing why our work has always been about more than technology; it’s about connection, dignity, and empowerment.
Client Support
We will continue supporting current clients through September 30, 2025. If you need assistance, please contact: acci1@earthlink.net
Looking Ahead
As ACCI’s chapter closes, I am stepping into a new adventure. I will soon be releasing my first book: Trusting the Path: Guided by Grace, a personal reflection on spiritual insights, choices, and the quiet strength found along my journey. More details on the book release will be shared soon.
With Heartful Thanks
To every family, clinician, business associate and friend who has walked this path with us-thank you. Your trust made this work meaningful. Your stories became our purpose.
Though ACCI is closing, the voices we helped to amplify will always be our legacy.
With deep gratitude,
Millie Telega, M.ED., CCC-SLP
