Weise Funeral Home

Weise Funeral Home We are a third-generation family owned funeral home dedicated to caring for others in a time of need.

Weise Funeral Home is a family of professional people who are related by choice and invitation. We gather together whenever called to serve other families who are in need of our very specialized services. Because we serve families at the most psychologically debilitating time of their lives, we recognize our responsibility to serve with dignity, accuracy, understanding, honesty and fairness. To do this, we strive to be intuitive in determining the needs of those we serve; we strive to relieve them of the burden of their grief; and, we strive to respond to their explicit and implicit desires in detail - to the best of our ability.

In Loving Memory of Ruby Nell Hall Williams Holcombe

With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Ruby, who died peacefully on October 7 at the age of 94, surrounded by her caring family.

Ruby was a devoted mother, a loving wife, and a steady, compassionate presence in the lives of all who knew her. She was the proud mother of four sons—her greatest joy and deepest source of strength. Everything she did, she did for them, pouring her love into their lives with unwavering commitment and a quiet grace that spoke volumes.

She was also a devoted partner in life and love, caring faithfully for both of her husbands—Delmar and later Garvis—through the years they shared. Her loyalty, compassion, and strength carried her family through life’s most difficult seasons and reminded everyone around her what true love looks like.

Born on August 19, 1931, in Hackleburg, Alabama, Ruby was the youngest of eleven children. She built a life defined by the nurturing spirit she both received and gave so freely. She was a beautiful woman whose warmth made people feel instantly at ease, and her smile and laughter filled a lifetime.

She is survived by her beloved sons—Ted Williams (spouse Wanda, daughter Holly), Alan Williams (spouse Ruth), Dan Williams, and Tom Williams (spouse Sheila; their children David (spouse Heather) and Melissa; and four grandchildren). She was preceded in death by her husbands, Delmar Williams and Garvis Holcombe.

Ruby lived a life of quiet strength and deep care. She never needed to be the loudest voice in the room, yet she always filled it with laughter. Her love was felt in every biscuit she baked, every hug she gave, every card game she played, and every moment she showed up when it mattered most.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on October 18, from 1:00–8:00 p.m., with a short memorial at 6:30 p.m., at Weise Funeral Home in Allen Park. All are welcome to gather in her memory and honor the love she gave so freely.

Her absence is immeasurable. Her love, unforgettable.
