Happy 313 Day from Optalis Allen Park!

Today we celebrated all things Detroit with some Detroit-made snacks and a lot of hometown pride. 313 is more than just an area code—it represents the culture, resilience, and heart of the city that many of our staff grew up knowing and loving.

At Optalis Allen Park, 313 is a symbol of pride and the grit and grind our incredible staff bring to the facility every single day. To make sure everyone could join in the celebration, we also put together a special snack cart for our midnight shift staff so they could enjoy a taste of Detroit too.

Monica has been a part of the Optalis team for 3 years! Having started at our Lakeland center, then transferring to our Ann Arbor location and finally here at Allen Park! Each location has helped to shape her in different and invaluable ways to which she is grateful for the knowledge and relationships she's built across the organization.
She loves working in Human Resources because it gives her the opportunity to make a real impact every day. Whether it’s improving the employee experience, helping someone navigate a challenge, nurturing talent, or contributing to a positive workplace culture, Monica finds great fulfillment in supporting others. There is nothing more meaningful to her than helping people feel heard, valued, and appreciated. When she's able to put a smile on someone’s face or play a role in building a strong, well staffed team, it brings her a deep sense of pride and purpose.

Last Friday we hosted a Staff Appreciation Party to recognize the amazing team that keeps our building running every single day. We had pizza, chips, beverages, and other snacks for those who wanted something different. The turnout was wonderful and it was great seeing everyone take a moment to relax and enjoy time together.

Each staff member also received some candy (because our building definitely has a sweet tooth!) along with a small envelope with a little surprise inside as a token of our appreciation.

Thank you to the entire Optalis Allen Park team for your hard work, integrity, and kindness. Everything you do for our residents and for each other does not go unnoticed. We appreciate you! 💙

We celebrated the close of Black History Month with a commemorative strolling reception, by recognizing the rich history, culture, and flavors that have shaped our community. Not only did we listen to music and share laughs-- We enjoyed line dancing, fun trivia for gift cards, and reflected on the stories behind the food and traditions that continue to bring us together. To honoring the past, and inspiring the future.

Happy Fat Tuesday! 🎉

Today we celebrated with a delicious Paczki Pass for our amazing staff and residents! From sweet fillings to lots of smiles, it was the perfect way to enjoy this fun tradition together.

A big thank you to our Activities team for organizing the Paczki Pass, and to our wonderful Kitchen staff for providing drinks and fresh veggie options for those who chose not to participate in the Fat Tuesday treats.

Moments like these remind us how special it is to share laughter, choices for everyone, and time together as one big family. 💜

Our Staff & Resident Love of Color Party was a huge success! 🎨✨

The room was filled with beautiful, vibrant colors and so much creativity from everyone who participated. It was wonderful seeing the joy and smiles all around.

Everyone also enjoyed the delicious spread of food, including an array of chips, fresh veggies, fruits, drinks, and sweet treats.

✨🎄 Getting Into the Christmas Spirit 🎄✨

We've officially kicked off the holiday season with some festive decorating throughout the building! Our residents joined in on the fun by creating beautiful handmade ornaments — each one unique, creative, and filled with holiday cheer.

Watching everyone come together to decorate the Christmas tree made the whole place feel extra cozy and bright. ❤️✨
