Daniel began his speech therapy journey with Aveanna SLP Ady at just 2 years old. Thanks to her expert guidance and dedication, Daniel has made remarkable progress in his communication skills. In just 18 months, he now matches his peers in his functional receptive and expressive language skills, and he was even awarded Student of the Month at his school!

Meet Bentley, one of our wonderful Aveanna speech therapy patients!

Bentley's communication journey has been revolutionized with the help of his Aveanna SLP Adriane and his Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) device, which he's used since he was 3 years old. With his Aveanna therapy team and his AAC device, Bentley has grown in his ability to express feelings and guide his own learning. He loves writing “Who Would Win” stories, and he even creates detailed step-by-step directions for Minecraft add-ons during sessions!

This year, Bentley wrote his own social story about the emotions of returning to school, which has helped him identify frustration and request breaks with support. We’re proud to celebrate Bentley and the incredible things he's accomplishing!

SLP Ady and Aveanna patient Ariella have been a dynamic duo since 2021, working tirelessly on oral motor, feeding, language, and articulation skills. Ariella's family has been right there, cheering her on and actively joining in the therapy sessions to boost her progress.

Now, we're thrilled to celebrate her graduation from Aveanna speech therapy! At her recent re-evaluation, it was clear that she's nailing all her communication goals in oral motor, feeding, articulation, and both receptive and expressive language. After all her hard work with SLP Ady, her ability to communicate effectively has skyrocketed, and we can't wait to see what she'll do next.

Today is World Diabetes Day, a chance for us to educate our communities on diabetes and support those living with it.

Diabetes is a chronic condition that occurs when the body cannot use insulin properly to regulate blood sugar levels. Type 1 diabetes occurs when the body produces little to no insulin because the immune system attacks the cells that produce it. Type 2 diabetes, the most common type, occurs when the body produces insulin, but the cells do not respond well to it.
