Feel like you’re straining your voice to be understood by others when wearing a mask? You’re not alone. Newer research shows that cloth masks dampen the acoustic output of your speech, making it more likely that you’ll strain your voice. If your voice feels strained or tired after speaking with a mask on, consider switching to a mask made of lighter materials, such as a surgical mask.

Cornerstone Speech Therapy is seeking a part-time administrative assistant. Weekdays only. 24 - 28 hours per week. Minimum of a high school diploma. Must pass a background check. Pay rate to be determined by level of experience in a related job.

Applicants should possess the following skills:
- Strong communication skills with people of all ages
- Excellent grammar and spelling skills
- Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word and PDFs)
- Strong organizational skills
- Self-starter
- Able to return to task well despite frequent interruptions
- Comfortable with frequent telephone calls to schedule patients
