On Tuesday, the NLLEO Greater Dallas Chapter held a blood drive and Pollo Campero USA provided 70 boxed lunches to officers!

We got to meet Carlos, a leukemia survivor, at the drive. He aspires to be a police officer one day and joined us to “thank police officers” for their generosity.

He shared, “I want to thank you for donating blood and I want to tell you that when you donate blood you are not just saving me or the patient. You are saving an entire family. I saw my family suffer when I was sick and how they also stopped living—it wasn’t just me—I saw my parents and siblings get sick, too. So you saved all of us. Thank you for donating.”

Thank you to the NLLEO, Dallas Police Department and Pollo Campero for supporting local patients! We appreciate everyone who came out to give!

Today is National Tattoo Day! 💪🔥😎 No "RAGRETS," donate blood! Did you know you CAN donate blood, even if you have tattoos?
There is no donation deferral for getting a tattoo in a regulated, state licensed facility. If you are unsure if your facility was licensed or if your tattoo was applied outside of Texas, you may need to wait three months from the last touch up to donate.
