Happy late 9th birthday (*actual is 50 years) to this hallmark clinic! Many things have changed about our operations but the way I care has not. If you need an hour and we need to plan your care, we will. If you need to come on Tuesday nights at 10pm before your night shift, I will meet you. If you need Saturday morning at 6 am while your kids are still asleep, then we can do that too. My schedule is complicated, mostly so by having 3 kids at home and being human.
Thank you to my patients who often are needed by me as much as they need me. I am so thankful for the families I have been able to care for over the past 9 years!
I found myself in a state of unhappiness recently over feeling distant from my patients. I love being the one you call when you are scared, or when your baby is sick. It is exactly why I love what I do. So starting today the clinic cell phone will be a permanent way to contact us! You can call or TEXT, just as you would the office phone, except it can be used 24/7. It will be placed on silent during non business hours and responded to as we can. There is nothing worse than remembering you needed to contact us for an appointment at midnight when we are closed, but now you can! Send the text and we will respond as soon as we can get to the schedule! Medication refills will remain through the pharmacy with the same policies.
You also need to make sure we have an email in your chart and you have access to the athena portal. We are using this for lab results and referrals, and you can text us through the portal as well.
I am not a fan of technology, as human interaction is the most important to me, but if it helps us connect easier than we will give it all a try!
