To our wonderful residents — thank you for the lives you have built, the families you have raised, and the stories and memories you continue to share with us. Your love and guidance continue to shape generations.
To the daughters and granddaughters who support, visit, advocate for, and care so deeply for your loved ones — thank you for the trust you place in us and for the love you continue to give so selflessly.
And to our amazing staff and team members — many of whom are mothers themselves — thank you for the compassion, patience, warmth, and care you bring into our homes every day. The love you show our residents truly makes Our Cottage feel like family.

Please welcome Mr. Franklin — the newest (and slowest 😉) resident of our Frisco home!

He may not say much…
He may not move fast…
But somehow, he’s already the most relaxed guy in the building.
From peaceful garden strolls to very serious snack inspections, Mr. Franklin is already bringing smiles, calm moments, and a whole lot of personality to our residents 💚

A very special thank you to our friend Olivia for generously introducing Mr. Franklin to our community. We’re so grateful—he’s already made himself right at home.

Our Cottage Experiment: Pineapple Edition! 🍍

At Our Cottage – Ambrosia, we decided to try something a little fun… and a little unexpected.
We’re regrowing a pineapple at home! 🌱

What started as a simple “let’s try it” moment has turned into a daily point of excitement. Our residents are checking in on it, watching it grow, and cheering it on like it’s part of the family. And guess what…

👉 Our first attempt seems to be working!
There is something so special about these little moments—watching something grow, being part of the process, and sharing that joy together. It’s not just about a pineapple… it’s about curiosity, connection, and bringing life into our home in new ways.
Who knew a pineapple top could bring so many smiles? 😊
We’ll keep you posted on our progress… maybe fresh homegrown pineapple is in our future! 🍍✨

As one of the newest members of Our Cottage family, Tino has already made a meaningful impact.
He is smart, witty, gentle, responsible, and deeply caring. He always has an eye on his residents, paying attention to the details, making sure they are safe, comfortable, and cared for.
What makes Tino special is the balance he brings. He has the energy of youth, yet the wisdom and steadiness of someone far beyond his age. He is kind, thoughtful, dependable, and brings a quiet confidence that earns respect naturally.

🌿 A Small Wish to Bring Joy to Our Seniors 🐦
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out from Our Cottage - a small, family-style assisted living homes here in the North Dallad. Each of our homes cares for up to 8 (one home up to 16) wonderful residents, and we truly do our best to make it feel like home—warm, peaceful, and full of life.
Lately, we’ve been thinking about how much joy something as simple as birds can bring. The gentle chirping in the morning, the movement, the beauty… it can truly brighten someone’s entire day. For many of our residents, especially those who don’t get out much anymore, these little moments mean everything. 💛
We would absolutely love to welcome a couple of birds into our homes. If anyone is looking to rehome birds (with a cage, if possible), we would be so grateful to give them a loving and safe place where they will be appreciated every single day.
Your birds wouldn’t just have a home—they would become part of a family and bring comfort, calm, and happiness to seniors who truly cherish these small, beautiful connections.

Watching this home come to life has me so excited. Our newest Our Cottage home is being built in the White Rock Lake area — such a beautiful and much-needed location for families seeking truly personal residential assisted living and memory care close to home.
This community is being designed with intention from the very beginning. It will feature at least 8 private, oversized suites, each with its own bathroom and shower, so every resident has comfort, privacy, and dignity.
The home will also include two spacious living areas, a warm open kitchen, dedicated manager space, and a large backyard where residents and families can enjoy sunshine, fresh air, and peaceful moments together.
Bright, open, calm, and thoughtfully built — everything about this home is centered around creating a better everyday life for the people who will live there.
We cannot wait to welcome future Our Cottage families and residents here. Progress is moving beautifully, and I’m so proud to share this next chapter with you.

Nash brings all three. ❤️
Nash is strong, dependable, passionate, and full of life. He brings laughter into the home, keeps spirits high, and has a beautiful way of making each day brighter for everyone around him.
But what makes Nash truly special is the gentleness behind that strength. The patience, kindness, and care he shows our residents is something truly special to witness. Strong in presence, soft in heart.
Our newest resident, Miss Jo, lovingly calls Nash “my angel.” And honestly, there may be no greater compliment than that. It speaks to the trust, comfort, and kindness he gives so naturally every day.
We are proud to announce that Nash has accepted the House Manager position at Fiddler's Green. We truly believe there could not be a better person to help lead this home with heart, strength, and compassion.

Rissy brings a gift. ❤️

There is something truly special about the way she cares for our residents. The softness in her touch, the kindness in her voice, the patience in her presence, and the genuine love she gives so freely. The way Rissy looks at our elderly ladies, comforts them, supports them, and cares for them as if they were her own family… it melts your heart when you witness it.
When we think about our Our Cottage home at 1525 Aylesbury Lane, filled with wonderful residents who deserve tenderness, dignity, and understanding—including some with cognitive challenges—we truly believe there could not be a better person to help lead and care for that home than Rissy.
We are beyond proud that she has accepted the role of House Manager. This home is in loving hands, and that means everything.
Rissy, we love you. You are amazing, and we are so grateful to have you as part of the Our Cottage family. 🤍

When I look at Our Cottage, I don’t see a BUSINESS.
I see PEOPLE.

And most of all, I see our TEAM.
I see how you show up every single day—not just to do a job, but to truly care.
The patience, the kindness, the attention…
the things that no one can teach—but you bring in EVERY MOMENT.
This work is not easy. And yet, you do it with heart.
