Our EMS Cadets are at the 8th Annual Bayshore EMS Cadet Competition in Keyport. We have two teams of three Cadets competing against 29 other Cadet Teams. Good luck to you all! Bayshore Cadet/Youth Competition

An Air Quality Alert has been issued for a large portion of our area (in gray) through Wednesday. This is due to expected effects at the surface of wildfire smoke from Nova Scotia. Sensitive groups should take precautions if going outdoors!

This morning, EMS Captain, Carla Ward, and EMR/Firefighter Justin Ward had the privilege of hosting the children from Dahlia Montessori Academy in Allenhurst at the station! The children learned about EMS and got to tour our ambulance in honor of National EMS Week! Thank you for the visit, we had a blast!

Come on out and join our EMS cadets at Railroad Park in Allenhurst. We are holding a Mother’s Day plant sale! Baskets are $35 each. We are here until 1 PM today, Saturday, May 12 and tomorrow from 9-11 am. Grab a basket for Mom, Grandma, or just to put out on your porch!

Our EMS cadets will be hosting a Spring/Mother’s Day plant sale on Saturday, May 13 from 10 AM to 1 PM at Bolan Railroad Park in Allenhurst! Grab a beautiful 12” flowering hanging basket for mom or grab a few for your porch for the summer! Hope to see you there!

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Henry Katelhon. Henry started his career in EMS as a Firefighter with Eatontown Fire Department and as EMT with Eatontown First Aid Squad. He joined Wanamassa First Aid when he moved to Ocean Township, were he was an EMT and eventually served as Captain and Trustee. He most recently served as an EMT with us here at Allenhurst Fire Department and First Aid Squad. Henry was a part of our EMS Cadet Advisory Committee. Henry will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Tina (Henry’s wife) and his children and grandchildren.
A memorial service for Henry will be held on Saturday, April  22nd from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Allenhurst Fire Department.
