We are so excited to announce Dr. Mike Pipestone will be joining our team this summer! He has come to The Calm Space to return to his first duty in medicine: helping provide the greatest good to the greatest number. Over his years in practice, the toll of trauma, invalidation, and injustice on patients has affected and motivated him more than any biological disease, infection,or heritable illness. Dr. Pipestone looks now to use Western biomedical sciences to complement, not undermine, the diverse healing paths community members may take to their own wellness.

These classes use a unique somatic approach to movement to carefully stimulate or relax the physiological systems impacted. Our movement classes for people living with chronic illnesses offer gentle exercises and ways of moving that bring awareness to the body, enhance circulation, ease pain, calm the mind, relieve stress, and help to release difficult emotions.

Arts and creative therapies are treatments which involve creative activities within therapy sessions. They use different art forms, such as drawing, music or dance and they're provided by a trained professional.
