This week we invite you to meet Matthew Hilty, PTA, an integral part of our incredible team!

With a year and a half of experience and a passion for helping others, Matthew brings energy, motivation, and dedication to every patient interaction, inspiring progress and success.

Matthew discovered his passion for helping people improve their health and fitness during his time in the Navy, where he served as a Command Fitness Leader. Since transitioning to civilian life, he has worked as a PTA, helping patients regain mobility and independence—like a recent patient who went from being unable to walk to safely climbing stairs and transferring with family support.

Outside of work, Matthew draws on his background as a Construction Mechanic and experience in the oil and gas industry, crediting his wife Rachel and his parents for supporting his career change through the Penn State Hazleton PTA program.

In celebration of Long-Term Care Administrator’s Week, we are on Olivia Plantholt, Administrator, for her outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to resident-centered care.

Olivia has been an Administrator since 2020 and has worked in long-term care for 20 years. She chose this path because she deeply values supporting residents and families during one of life’s most sensitive transitions.

“I became an administrator because I enjoyed helping people with their transitions into long-term care. It’s such a sensitive time for residents and families, and I wanted to assist with making it easier.”
