👏 A huge congratulations to the bystanders, Central Bucks EMS crews (an EMI paramedic program precepting agency) and LVHN Emergency Medicine Institute paramedic students, Gianna Burzi and Conor Ellis! Their teamwork and skill led to a successful resuscitation and an excellent patient outcome in an incredibly challenging situation. This is exactly what our EMS Providers are trained to do!

Today's EMT Class experienced Real World Operations with a variety of simulated scenarios that included a cardiac arrest, child birth delivery, hypoglycemia, respiratory distress, bicycle accident, behavioral emergency and a stabbing. Students had the opportunity to assess, treat & transport patients while also providing radio and bedside reports to the receiving hospital facility. Thank you Chris Peischl for orchestrating today’s exercise and also "thank you" to our partnering EMS agencies who assisted us today!

Our EMT students recently took on the critical, hands-on practice of safely removing a child from a car seat to a backboard – a challenging but essential skill. While this isn’t an everyday procedure, it can be a lifesaver in emergency situations. Proper technique can make all the difference in reducing further injury and ensuring a child’s safe transport. This is the kind of training that builds confidence, precision, and preparedness for the moments that matter most.

This week, our EMT students took their skills practice to the next level by working through scenarios with loud music blasting—simulating the kind of sensory overload they might face in the field. From chaotic scenes to high-stress environments, EMTs must stay focused, think critically, and perform under pressure. That’s exactly what we’re preparing them for. Because in real emergencies, it’s not always quiet—and staying calm can save lives.
