Another patient story for our last day of National Infertility Awareness Week, by Lindsay McGrath Anderson:

I am one in six with infertility struggles. After seeing 6 different doctors over 6 years of trying and continually being told “just keep trying” “relax and have fun” “have a few drinks and relax” “when it’s your time it will happen” I had enough. Someone I knew had gone through IVF and was encouraging me to seek help. I made an appointment with a OBgyn and as soon as he walked in I started crying, begging for help. He listened and started tests and medications. He then referred me to the amazing RMA infertility clinic in Allentown, PA.

I was super nervous but they made me feel so welcome, they validated all of my feelings and brought the hope and faith back I had lost years ago. They made a complex process understandable to me. I met my amazing nurse, BJ who just made me so calm no matter what.

During our first official round of IVF we were also foster parents to our nephew who was born addicted to drugs. The day I had to hand over this beautiful back to his biological parents was the day I found out our first transfer didn’t stick. I was devastated ready to give in and believe everyone-I wasn’t meant to be a mommy. Nurse BJ called me over and over not just to check in but to encourage me to start the process for a second transfer. I can still remember that moment talking to her, in tears on my couch. Fast forward, that last embryo is now my amazingly beautiful almost 8 year old son.

Knowing the process and having a little more confidence we decided to try for a second baby with RMA. That is when I got to meet the most amazing doctor, DR. Gueye. She was always smiling, explaining everything in great detail and I felt so much faith that she would help me conceive the last piece of our family puzzle. That amazing last piece is now a strong willed beautiful 4 year old girl! RMA is the reason I have my kids and I am forever grateful for them!

My Story Why I Chose RMA

I am one of the one in six people who experience fertility challenges. At 37, I made the decision to become a mom—more specifically, a single mother by choice.

I first heard about RMA through my mom, who worked in New Jersey and knew many people who had successful treatment experiences there. When I met with Dr. Gueye, she took the time to explain everything clearly and even drew a picture to help me understand the process. That level of care made a lasting impression on me from the very beginning.

From that first appointment through the day I graduated, my experience was truly top-notch. I still have voicemails from Nurse Becky, whose kindness and support added so much to my journey.

Choosing RMA was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The level of care, compassion, and support I received is why I continue to recommend them to anyone exploring fertility treatment.
