If a mole or other mark on your skin looks like it might be a sign of cancer, your dermatology provider will probably order a test, called a biopsy, to determine a diagnosis. A skin biopsy is a procedure that removes a small sample of skin for testing. The skin sample is looked at under a microscope to check for cancer cells. If you are diagnosed with skin cancer, you can begin treatment. Finding and treating cancer early may help prevent the disease from spreading.

It’s time to stop neglecting our neck! During our skincare routines, we tend to focus on treating the face, with our neck often being the last thing on our mind. Due to the neck having fewer sebaceous glands compared to the face, the neck is more prone to skin concerns like dryness, irritation, and scarring. When cleansing, be sure to extend your routine to your neck area, when you move on to moisturizing, liberally apply the product to your neck area too.
