Rule 1: 1ml max per session. Rule 2: Build gradually, every 8 weeks+.
Rule 3: Know when to stop! Don't schedule fillers just because it's been a year, trust me, most people get touch-ups every 24-36 months!

🧪💉 Did you know? Every hyaluronic-acid (HA) filler has its own rheology—a fancy term for the way the gel stretches, lifts, and settles once it’s in your skin. Understanding those “personality traits” is how we decide who should get which filler and where we place it.

HA fillers are like desserts—each texture tells us where it belongs.

Whipped-cream light think RHA Redensity, Restylane Refyne or Juvederm Volbella— airy and flexible. Great for loose lip tissue, tear toughs any area that needs airbrushing.

Correcting the “m” shape lip takes a soft filler placed in the lateral deficits followed by a more structured product to support and evert the lip. This can take anywhere from 0.4-1.0 ml per session and may require 1-3 treatments for full correction.

Let’s talk lip tissue.

Did you ever inject a lip and everything just went perfectly. The filler was doing everything right! You couldn’t mess up…Every injection lifted, sharpened or added volume exactly the way you hoped it would.

If you said yes, 1. You’re lucky 😆and 2. chances are the lip tissue was not too tight but not too loose either. 🤷‍♀️

I know, this injecting thing is harder than you thought. 😎
I’m going to very briefly try and break it down. 👇🏼

Tissue density plays a huge role in product choice. The wrong product in loose tissue will end up lumpy. The wrong product in a dense lip will likely not lift or support the tissue well enough. Understanding anatomy is only half the battle. Understanding rheology is the other half.

If you can correctly identify tissue type and you understand rheology you will set yourself up for success (almost) every time.

One observation I have made over the years is loose lips always require more filler, multiple session and bruise like a peach! 🍑

Dense lips won’t always get very full and can only tolerate smaller amounts of filler.
