These tragedies are heartbreaking, and we see firsthand the impact sudden loss has on families in our community. Please take winter conditions seriously — cold temperatures and snow removal can place dangerous strain on the body, especially for older adults and those with health conditions.

Check on loved ones, take breaks, and ask for help when needed. Our thoughts remain with these families during this difficult time.

The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensic Center (LCCO&FC) works closely with the Gift of Life Donor Program, and in 2025, the impact on transplantation was truly meaningful. The selfless decision to give the gift of life brought hope and healing to countless individuals and families. The entire staff of the LCCO&FC extends its deepest gratitude to the families who, during moments of loss, honored their loved ones’ wishes to donate. Their compassion and generosity continue to make a lasting difference.
