Big things are happening at the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensic Center!

Construction begins this week in our morgue to make way for our new postmortem CT scanner—an important investment that will enhance how we serve our community.

This advanced technology allows for detailed, non-invasive examinations, improving accuracy, strengthening investigations, and helping provide families with answers—faster and with greater precision.

As a NAME- and IACME-accredited office, we are committed to meeting and exceeding the highest national standards in medicolegal death investigation. This project is another step forward in that mission.

This initiative is being made possible through grant funding in the amount of $409,500, allowing us to bring cutting-edge resources to Lehigh County without additional burden on taxpayers.

While construction is underway, morgue operations will continue with minimal disruption. Our team remains focused on delivering professional, compassionate, and reliable service every day.

We look forward to sharing progress updates as we move toward bringing this technology online in the near future! Stay tuned......

Kelly Ann is the backbone of our daily function—she catches mistakes, fixes errors, listens to our Deputies (and all their stories), and assists everyone who walks through our doors with professionalism, compassion, and a smile.

Coroner Buglio and Deputy Santana spent a few hours this morning at Roberto Clemente Charter School participating in the middle school career fair. They had the opportunity to engage with an amazing group of students and staff.

It is an honor for the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensic Center to be part of this event. The future is bright with these students!

Another great community event! The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensic Center was proud to participate in the Seniors and Veterans Expo at the St. Luke’s Sports Center in Whitehall. What a wonderful turnout!

Thank you to Senator Nick Miller and Representative Jeanne McNeill for organizing such a wonderful and educational event for our community. We truly appreciate the opportunity to connect with residents, share important information, and support our seniors and veterans.

Please keep their families, the Walnuttown Fire Company, and all first responders in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Today, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensic Center (LCCO&FC) administrative offices are closed in observance of Good Friday.

While our administrative offices are closed for the holiday, our dedicated investigative staff remains available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to jurisdictional matters in service to our community.

As we observe this solemn day, we extend our wishes for a peaceful and blessed Good Friday to all who are commemorating.

Administrative offices will reopen on Monday at 8 a.m.

As we share our statistics for the month of March, we pause to offer our deepest condolences to every family and loved one impacted by loss during this time.

While these numbers help reflect the work of the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensic Center, it is important to remember that each number represents a life, a person, and a family we are privileged to serve.

Our thoughts remain with all those grieving, and we continue to stand committed to serving our community with compassion, dignity, and professionalism.

The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensic Center (LCCO&FC) hosted a facility tour and presentation for a wonderful group of students from Roberto Clemente Charter School. Assisting with the visit was Chief Deputy Coroner Pender. The students were engaged throughout, asking thoughtful questions and showing a strong interest in the work we do. It was a pleasure to spend time with them and provide insight into the role of the coroner's office.
