Naomi Naylor, Executive Director of Quakertown Alive!, donated a Blue Heron painting, by local artist Jim Lukens, to St. Luke’s Cancer Center-Upper Bucks.
Naomi selected this painting because the Blue Heron, while appearing fragile due to its light weight and hollow bone structure, is bold and impressive to observe. She feels it symbolizes hope for patients undergoing treatment. Like the Blue Heron, patients may seem fragile, but their resilience throughout the treatment process is nothing short of bold and courageous.
The donation was funded through Naomi's Rising Star Award from the group Quakertown Business and Professional Women, along with matching funds from the Brewfest committee of Quakertown Alive!
