The goal of Legacy Place has always been to provide loving care, and this includes making our dear elderly ones feel valued and safe. To this end, we try our best to make everyday living comfortable for them. A lot of thought has gone into planning the aesthetics of our buildings, and we have found that some of our furniture needs replacing. They have served us well, but it’s time that they be replaced.
Studies have found that visually appealing and well-designed furniture is important for the emotional well-being of older ones.
Choosing furniture that doesn’t look purely clinical or institutional can make a space feel more like a personal home, which fosters a sense of dignity and self-worth.
A beautiful and comfortable living space can have a positive impact on mental and emotional health, helping to reduce feelings of isolation.
With this in mind, we feel the need to raise funds for new furniture. We are using this Giving Tuesday initiative to get the best deals from retailers and maximize the use of your generous donations.
