St. Luke’s pediatricians have a few simple tips for parents to help make the back-to-school transition smooth and stress-free for your children:

• Get Organized: Have your child prepare their backpack and supplies in advance so they're not rushing on the first day.
• Set Goals: Have your child think about what they want to achieve this year—big or small—and write the goals down.
• Establish a Routine: Have your child go to bed and wake up earlier to adjust to the new schedule.
• Stay Positive: Encourage your child to embrace new opportunities, make friends and ask questions!
• Remind your child to eat healthy, stay active, and take breaks when needed.
