County Of Lehigh Drug and Alcohol The County's Drug & Alcohol agency recognizes the disease concept of chemical dependency & believes that early intervention is key in overcoming addiction.

The purpose of this page is to provide community outreach, awareness, support, and education. Together, as a community, we can collaborate to help each other and loved ones struggling with this epidemic and the disease of addiction by learning about prevention, intervention and recovery. We hope that you visit our page often to find encouragement and to stay connected. The Lehigh County Department

of Drug and Alcohol is here to answer your questions and facilitate needs for assessment, treatment and other services. Our department also manages funds to services in order to aid individuals get the help that they need at little to no cost to them. Our concern is removing barriers to treatment so individuals can live a rewarding and sober lifestyle that they deserve.

Removing unused medications from your medicine cabinet is an excellent way to keep them off the streets.

The Whitehall Township Police Department will be participating in the DEA National prescription take back day on Saturday April 26th, 2025 from 10am to 2pm.

An officer will be present in the lobby of the police station to collect unneeded medications.

This effort encourages the public to remove unneeded medications from their homes as a measure of preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction from ever starting.
