It was an afternoon of THANKSGIVING BINGO that brought the 2nd & 3rd graders from Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran School to our care center!!
We are so grateful for their kindness to our residents, their terrific manners and their contagious enthusiasm 🤩

We FIND reasons to celebrate…. And this week we celebrated NATIONAL PICKLE DAY with our 2nd annual pickle bouquet-making extravaganza 🥒🥒🥒🥒🥒🥒🥒🥒

This year we added shots of tangy pickle juice!! Residents loved the dilly aroma and snack-as-you-go activity. . . team members did too!
We even tried PICKLE JELLY BEANS… 0/10 would not recommend 🤢

Exactly one week ago today we celebrated Thanksgiving with our residents and their families♥️

To show support for our favorite collaborator, Carnegie Arts Center, our residents are working on some ingenious itty bitty art pieces to enter in their upcoming TINY ART SHOW on December 13th✨

We made Carolyn’s wish come true….

She asked for a gold rope necklace, like her husband, Gene had once given her, and we found almost the exact same necklace!
She was so excited to put it on.

Now every time she sees it,
she’ll think of him🩷

For three years now we have celebrated Thanksgiving early and in a BIG way!!!
Well, we did it again and decked out our local Eagles Club in pumpkins and florals and cornucopias. . . Oh my!!
We invited our sister facility, Highland Park Assisted Living to celebrate too, at a second session that was just as festive🦃
Hats off to our combined Highland Park team members for collaborating in such a meaningful way♥️
Residents, family members and our staff had incredible food & hours of smiles.

We were treated to tantalizing tales, and unique hauntings of the Alliance Theatre.
Owners Courtney & Edison Red Nest shared their adventures with ghost hunters, pacing ghosts, spooky specters and airy apparitions.
One of our residents even worked there in the 1960’s!! She told us stories about how frightening the basement and secret tunnels were.
Thank you Red Nest family for sharing the rich history of the Alliance Theatre with us👻

We had the best time on our Halloween Scavenger Hunt with the Kindergarteners & First Graders from IELS.
They were polite little detectives. . . searching high and low for all the pictures hidden throughout the hallways👻
