The holidays can be especially difficult for those who are grieving. It’s okay to feel your emotions, allow yourself the space to experience them without judgment. Remember, healing isn’t linear, and you don’t have to navigate this season alone.

Here are 3 tips to help cope with holiday depression:

✅Set Realistic Expectations: It’s okay to say no to events or traditions that feel overwhelming. Prioritize what feels manageable and meaningful to you.
✅Stay Connected: Reach out to trusted friends, family, or a therapist. Sharing your feelings can provide comfort and lessen feelings of isolation.

Meet Nicole Maromonte, LPC, a licensed professional counselor at Mindful Therapy Solution.

Nicole discovered her passion for psychology back in high school and turned that calling into a meaningful career. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and brings empathy nd warmth to her work every day.

When she’s not with clients, you’ll find her reading, practicing Pilates, or spending time with friends.
