Here are some ways that families pay for their care at ☀️Rise Well Chiropractic☀️

🧡Monthly plans out of pocket. I offer monthly or bimonthly visits for families and individuals at a discounted rate

🧡HSA or FSA accounts💳. Chiropractic care at my office is eligible for these accounts.

🧡 Highmark Health Insurance. This is the only insurance that I’m in network with. We can check your policy and coverage at no cost.

🧡 Superbill. Some health insurance companies offer reimbursements for out of network care. I give you a receipt and you send it in for your reimbursement.

Neck pain or a headache AFTER a chiropractic adjustment?

It’s not that the chiropractor did anything wrong or that the adjustment didn’t work.. it’s because your spine is not responding well to a manual adjustment. This is most likely because your spine is HYPERMOBILE and your spinal joints are moving too much.

When we put a thrust into your spine the joint capsule stretches and the muscles and ligaments tighten which causes the neck pain and headache that brought you into the chiropractor in the first place!

As your chiropractor, we need to know this so that we can tailor your care and our technique for you!

🌟It’s such an honor to have my article and birth story published in ! 🌟

🤰🏼Pregnancy and birth are life altering. For me, it was altering personally and professionally.

Long story short.. after laboring for almost 12 hrs my labor started to slow down. I was exhausted, frustrated and confused. My friend adjusted me and I felt my pelvis open and my body basically turn back on. I took 5 steps and my baby girl descended from my pelvis into my husband’s safe hands!🙌

🤔People can say it was placebo or timing. I know differently though. I know that the adjustments cleared my nervous system so that my body could function better.

📚We know that chiropractic care shortens labor times (up to 31%). I know from firsthand experience that chiropractic care improves birth outcomes.

☀️It is because of this experience that I have changed the way that I practice chiropractic! Rise Well Chiropractic offers mobile visits for laboring women.

I was talking with my colleague yesterday about ties and nursing. While we are different practitioners, we share the philosophy that if the jaw and neck are restricted, the tissues of the mouth will be tight and nursing/milk transfer will be limited.

This can often be mistaken as a tie. And that’s what we do as pediatric chiropractors!🙋‍♀️ We are trained to identify if the tension in the mouth is due to a functional deficit (misaligned cranium or spine) or anatomical (short or thick frenulum) that needs to be surgically released.

I post this to encourage families to get second opinions. Don’t rush the process. If the care doesn’t align with your values or feel right, get another opinion. Find practitioners who will listen and consider your needs.

Navigating newborn life and nursing is HARD. I’ve been there. And I promise that it gets easier! 💕🫶Until then, I’m here for you!

💕Life Lately💕

- I opened up my home practice, Rise Well Chiropractic in June 2023. It is a slower paced practice, serving families and individuals in the Pittsburgh area. The home setting allows me to take more time with people and provide the care that they need and want. It’s been such a blessing as I am able to work and do what I love while also fulfilling my role as a wife and mother👨‍👩‍👧 it is perfect for our life now but eventually I would like to move to a larger space and create an integrative health collective for families and pregnant mamas

- We are enjoying the different seasons that Western Pennsylvania that has to offer! Naomi loves playing outside in every type of weather and we try to get outside as much as we can! Our toddler forest co-op has become our favorite day of the week! We meet every Friday in the morning and spend a couple hours outside singing songs, reading stories, snack time and exploring (Naomi’s favorite🥹😍)

- I have had the opportunity to join as both a member and instructor! Naomi and I teach stroller strides every Wednesday. It’s one of our favorite hours of the week as we get to spend time with other moms and kids. We absolutely love the community, and are so grateful to be a part of it!🏋️‍♀️

We miss San Diego and our family, friends and practice members. However, Pittsburgh has proven to be the perfect place for us to lay roots and raise our baby 💕🥹
