Meet the Elm Springs Assisted Living Staff

Sidney is our Assisted Living RN and has been working with us for a year now. Sidney received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Grand View University in Des Moines. She and her husband, Tyler lived in Williamsburg for several years where she worked as a cardiac nurse, ICU nurse, and Hospice nurse. After have their 2 children, Ryker and Rosie, they decided to move to Aplington to be closer to family. She then worked as the ADON at the Rehab Center of Allison and “stumbled into” working at Elm Springs Assisted Living.

When asked what some of her favorite things about our Assisted Living, she replied, “A few of my favorite things about working at the AL is hearing the tenant’s stories and being present for them when their families cannot always be.”

Thank you Sidney for being a great addition to our Elm Springs team!

Our residents at Allison Rehabilitation Center enjoyed spending some relaxing time outside, soaking up the beautiful weather and sharing smiles together. Our residents had a wonderful time spreading frosting, getting creative, and of course enjoying every delicious bite during our bake-and-eat croissant activity. It’s days like these that bring smiles, laughter, and a little extra sweetness to everyone’s day!
