Today, we welcomed medical students from Central Michigan University to our Health Care Center for a special visit with our residents. The students spent time chatting and conducting interviews, learning about favorite recipes and memorable ingredients from years past. It was a wonderful opportunity to share stories, spark meaningful conversations, and connect across generations!

Chocolate cake was the star of the show at our recent Chocolate Cake Social in honor of National Chocolate Cake Day! Residents gathered to enjoy a delicious slice, share some laughs, and test their knowledge with fun dessert trivia. It was a sweet way to spend time together and enjoy a special afternoon treat. 🍫🍰

Our residents had a moose-tastic time at the Moose Mixer Party hosted by our amazing Life Enrichment team! Cozy flannels, camp-inspired snacks, and fun moose-themed games made for a relaxed afternoon filled with laughter and good company. A big thank you to our Life Enrichment department for putting on such a fun get-together for our residents! ⛺

Aloha from the Michigan Masonic Home! Our residents were treated to an island-style afternoon thanks to our amazing Dietary team and their Luau-themed dinner! From delicious tropical-inspired flavors to festive leis and warm island vibes, the true feeling of a Hawaiian getaway was brought right to our dining room.

Shout out to the staff for creating such a fun and flavorful experience. 🌴🍍

Today was extra sweet here at the Home as residents came together for an Ice Cream Social in honor of National Strawberry Ice Cream Day! Smiles, laughter, and scoops of ice cream made for a wonderful afternoon of connection and treats. 🍓🍦

We were honored to welcome Dirk Hughes, Director of the Michigan Masonic Museum and Library, to the Home! Dirk shared a fascinating collection of Masonic artifacts, offering residents a closer look at the rich history, traditions, and stories of our fraternity. Thank you, Dirk, for bringing these meaningful pieces to life and helping us connect with the legacy of Masonry.

Time Machine - New Masonic Home Goes Up

The Depression had started, and so had work on the new Michigan Masonic Home north of downtown Alma.

We kicked off the New Year by asking some of our Health Care Center residents to share their New Year’s resolutions, and we loved hearing what they had to say. From personal goals to simple joys, each one was a great reminder of what a fresh start can mean. We wish everyone a very Happy New Year and all the best in the year ahead!

We rang in the New Year, and a lot of fun was had! Our residents gathered for a festive New Year’s Eve celebration complete with music, hors d’oeuvres, and a special countdown at a very reasonable 2:45 p.m. It was a wonderful way to celebrate together and welcome what’s ahead. We wish everyone a happy, healthy, and safe New Year’s Eve! ✨🎉

From crafts and luncheons to ugly sweaters, beautiful decorations, all 12 Christmas trees, and so much holiday cheer, the past month has been filled with festive fun at Masonic Pathways.
