Spirit week continues at Arbor Grove Assisted Living with great enthusiasm. Whacky accessories and mismatch day proved to be highly successful, filling our community with smiles, laughter, and engaging conversations. The excitement was palpable throughout the day. One community member, who had never participated in a Spirit Week tradition before, expressed her eagerness to have fun. The Alma High School Homecoming Court visited us to crown our very own King and Queen of Arbor Grove Assisted Living, and we will announce the winners tomorrow. Go Panthers!!!

It's time for our annual fall menu tasting event, where we highlight the nutritional value and diverse flavors of our dishes. Today's theme revolves around the concept that food is medicine. We welcome Chef Rob to his new position and introduce a unique element to this event, where he prepares two signature dishes and engages in a Q&A session with community members. Chef Rob showcased a Honey Roasted Cherry & Ricotta Tartine, initially met with skepticism but ultimately winning over the crowd with its harmonious flavors. He also presented a Glazed Citrus, Almond and Olive Oil Cake as a dessert option, praised for its exceptional moisture and subtle sweetness. We extend our gratitude to Chef Rob for his tireless efforts and commitment, which have significantly enhanced the culinary department, earning recognition from the community. 🎉🍴👨‍🍳

To the Future Residents and Friends of Arbor Grove,

As we place this letter into the time capsule today, we want to capture a glimpse of our lives here in 2025. Arbor Grove is more than a building — it is a home filled with laughter, stories, and love. Each day, we gather around the table, in the courtyard, or in the cozy corners of our community, creating memories that will last far beyond us.

We have celebrated together, comforted each other, and shared in the joys of everyday living. Some moments stand out — like Larry’s endless humor that keeps spirits high, or Ethan’s energy that reminds us of the vibrance of youth. Hannah’s creativity shines through in everything she does, whether it’s a thoughtful project, a fun idea, or the way she weaves friendship into every corner of our days. And sometimes, we break into song, channeling the fun of Grease, where friendship, rhythm, and a little bit of mischief always find their way into our lives.

At the heart of it all, our Life Enrichment Director, Meredith, works to keep Arbor Grove feeling like family. She reminds us that every voice matters, every story deserves to be heard, and every day can be made brighter with a little imagination, care, and love.

Life here is a mix of cherished tradition and new adventures. We honor the past while embracing the present — from our veterans’ wall that reminds us of courage and sacrifice, to our daily connections that remind us of the power of kindness.

Sometimes we wish we could 'rewind' back to Friday. Our Memory Care unit certainly does. We had a highly enjoyable and meaningful time with Amanda Armstrong during our 'Winds of Change' Happy Hour. Music has a way of resonating with us all in one way or another, but Amanda Armstrong's approach and delivery made the interaction truly special and heartfelt. Goodbye summer, hello fall. 🌼🌻🎶💖
