This past week, GIHN staff took part in a Casual for a Cause, with donations supporting Child Advocacy. Together, our team raised $159.

Even more meaningful—thanks to a matching campaign through the United Way of Greater Central Michigan, every dollar raised during April was matched, doubling the impact.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support a community partner and be part of something that gives back to Gratiot County. 💛

They’re the friendly faces who greet you when you walk through our doors, the voices on the other end of the phone, and the knowledgeable problem-solvers who keep everything on track. They truly are the glue that holds us all together.

LivingWorks ASIST is more than just a training—it’s an experience that can change how you see your role in su***de prevention and equip you with life-saving skills to support others.

Today, GIHN HR Manager, Alan, is onsite at SVSU for Social Work Student Placement Day!

He’s connecting with the social workers of tomorrow, sharing insight into the impactful work we do at GIHN, and highlighting the many ways our team supports individuals and families across our community. From meaningful career pathways to hands-on learning opportunities, Alan is helping students envision how they can turn their passion for helping others into a rewarding profession.

We’re proud to share that on Tuesday, GIHN’s very own Sarah Bowman, Clinical Director, served as a featured speaker at the annual Women’s Resource Center of Mid-Michigan membership luncheon.

Sarah delivered an inspiring message centered on compassion, connection, and the impact each of us can make. She encouraged attendees to pause and reflect on the power of community—woman to woman, neighbor to neighbor, business to business—and how small, intentional actions can create meaningful change while restoring dignity and opportunity for women.

In addition to Sarah’s presentation, GIHN was honored to present a $152 donation to the Women’s Resource Center of Mid-Michigan, collected through our recent Casual for a Cause initiative.

SMART Recovery is back—stronger than ever 💪

We’re pleased to announce that SMART Recovery is returning to Hope Works Mid-Michigan (formerly Gratiot County Hope House)!

Starting Thursday, March 26th, our team will be on-site each week facilitating an empowering support group focused on overcoming addiction and taking back control of your life.

This group is open to the public and welcomes anyone looking for support, connection, and real-life strategies for recovery.

• Practical, evidence-based recovery tools
• A supportive, judgment-free environment
• Empowerment and self-discovery
