How do you handle distractions while working from home?

Here's a simple tip to improve productivity:

For at least 2 hours every day, focus on your work and try to do what you have to do completely undisturbed. Be sure that no one can, and will, disturb you, or you’ll lose all your momentum.

Turn off your phone or put it in airplane mode. Answer any calls or messages after the 2 hours. Make sure to log out from all social media.

At around age 40, your body’s natural decline in muscle mass, called sarcopenia, sets in. To combat the loss of lean mass and keep your metabolism revved, you really have to turn to strength training.

According to research from the Harvard School of Public Health, people who lift weights put on less belly fat as they age than cardio bunnies. While any exercise will help you burn calories while you’re at the gym, strength training gives your metabolism the biggest boost after your workout ends. On top of pumping iron, eating enough protein (about 100 to 120 grams a day) will boost your efforts to get stronger.

Creamy Cauliflower Soup with Greens

Ingredients:
1 T. extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling
1 medium onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, chopped
Sea salt
1 medium head cauliflower (about 3 pounds), florets, and stems
cut into 1-inch pieces
4 1/2 cups water (or can use vegetable broth)
1/4 cup chopped fresh dill, plus more for garnish
5 large kale leaves, tough ends removed and leaves roughly chopped
1 scoop Shaklee Organic Greens Booster
Freshly ground black pepper

Preparation:
1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat; cook onion, covered, until soft, 4 to 5 minutes. Add garlic and a pinch of salt, and cook for 3 minutes more. Add cauliflower, and pour in filtered water until it reaches just below the top of the cauliflower.

2. Bring to a boil over high heat. Add 2 tablespoons dill. Reduce heat to low, and simmer until cauliflower is just tender about 10 minutes. Stir in greens and Greens Booster, and simmer for 3 minutes.

3. Let sit for 5 minutes to cool slightly. Stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons dill. Puree soup in batches in a blender until very smooth, adding more water (about 1/2 cup) if it's too thick. Return to pot, and reheat. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with dill, black pepper, a drizzle of oil, and a pinch of sea salt.

Are your kids safe from toxic household cleaners?

Household cleaners with harsh ingredients don't only kill germs and get out tough stains. They can affect your children's health in a number of ways.

1. Poisoning - Every year, more than a million kids under age 5 swallow poisons like household cleaners, sometimes with devastating effects.

2. Airway irritation - Powerful fumes from household cleaners can irritate your baby's airways, making allergy or asthma symptoms worse.

3. Eye irritation - Household cleaner fumes can also irritate your baby's eyes, causing redness and watering.

4. Allergies - Some researchers believe that having a home that's too clean can increase the long-term risk of allergies in a child.

6. Eczema - A baby's skin is sensitive, and studies have found that irritants and allergens in household cleaners and detergents can cause skin irritation.

The best thing about having an online business is that you can take it anywhere! You can work comfortably at home or while sipping a margarita by the beach.

You're no longer confined to an office. You can be wherever you must be and still be able to work on your business.

Are you currently working from home? What do you like most about it? What do you find most challenging?
