This time of year is officially the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP), which runs from October 15th through December 7th. This is a CRITICAL time for most seniors and Medicare-eligible folks because it's the one time a year you can:
Switch from Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage Plan (Part C).
Switch from a Medicare Advantage Plan back to Original Medicare.
Switch from one Medicare Advantage Plan to another.
Join, switch, or drop a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (Part D).
Any changes you make during this time will become effective on January 1st of the following year. This is your chance to make sure you have the best coverage and prescription drug coverage for your specific needs for the year ahead!
