We are beyond lucky to have both of these ladies who ensure our residents are having fun, staying active, and making every day count at Turning Brook! Kim has recently taken on the LEC Director role and has done BIG things for the department in a short time. Carolann has been a part of our Turning Brook family for 8 years and with her big heart she is a huge part of our activities program!

Please help me by saying "THANK YOU" as we celebrate activity professionals week and for all that they do for our residents!

WE APPRECIATE YOU!

To provide residents with a visual representation of the extreme cold, our Life Enrichment Coordinator, Kimberly, carried out a science experiment in which boiling water was thrown into the subzero air, instantly freezing into a cloud of snow droplets. Has anyone else performed this experiment?

Temperature at the time of demonstration was -2 with a windchill of -17. We hope everyone keeps warm this weekend.

Tom (middle) had a truly unforgettable experience yesterday as he proudly accepted the Alpena High School Sports Hall of Fame Award on behalf of his incredibly talented grandson Aidan Day, a soccer sensation. Meanwhile, his son Matthew (3rd from the right) also received an award for Tom's other grandson Mitchell Day, who showcased remarkable excellence in cross-country at Alpena High School. We also learned that cross country team members (far right) Aden and Josh Smith are the grandsons of another resident, Dolores! Both Aden and Josh went on to run cross country at MSU and did great things there as well! The awards ceremony took place during the halftime of last night's varsity basketball game. We would like to extend a congratulations to all the honorees recognized during last night's game.
