The cardiovascular care team at Wellstar North Fulton Medical Center has expanded services with Dr. Ryan Wilson and Dr. Akshar Patel now performing the renal artery denervation procedure locally in our community. In this outpatient, minimally invasive procedure, a catheter is guided to the renal arteries, and energy is used to calm overactive nerves in the area that can contribute to high blood pressure.
