The Woodhouse Avalon family recently lost one of our beloved team members.

Dorinda was one of the most sweet, giving, and strong people we’ve ever known. She faced her medical diagnosis and brutal treatment not with bitterness but with optimism, selflessness and levity. Even when her body was failing her, she kept insisting that she pour her soul into her guests.

To say Dorinda was loved by her Woodhouse family doesn’t do those bonds justice. Our team is understandably hurting but they are finding ways to create joy in Dorinda’s honor. This week our team is wearing ribbons in Dorinda’s honor, and today on what would have been her 61st birthday we are celebrating a life very well lived.

We’re sharing this picture of Dorinda because it’s how we always want to remember her: laughing, kind, present in the moment, and likely on her way to go pour her heart into making somebody else’s day special.
