Sundays words.... Dana Twilley ,LPN ! We Love you Sweet Lady!

Life is full of ups and downs and for some, it seems like the hits just keep coming, but every day we are given a choice. We can choose how we live for Jesus and how we treat others. We can choose to let our light shine for Him or we can let life’s circumstances dim it. Today I choose joy; most days I choose joy, but as a human I often fail miserably. Every time I am in a valley, I am reminded that I should “…count it all joy” James 1:2-4
Thank you Jesus for choosing me no matter what it cost me❤️

The Words That We Carry as Hospice Nurses.. from ome of our Favs! We appreciate you Tonya Frazier

No one tells you, when you choose this path, that you will also become the keeper of goodbyes.

When a room grows still and the world narrows to a final breath, it is often a nurse who leans close enough to hear the words no one else will ever hear again. Sometimes it is, “I’m not ready.” Other times, “Tell my son I love him.” Or a whispered plea, “Don’t let me die alone.” And sometimes, there is only silence—a trembling hand reaching for ours as if we were the last safe harbor before the tide pulls them away.

We do not document these moments. There is no check box for final whispers, for half-spoken prayers, or for the promises we silently carry forward. But they stay with us. They carve themselves into our hearts and echo in our memories, long after the shift is over.

The hardest part of being a hospice nurse is not the long hours or the physical strain. It is the sacred responsibility of being the last trusted voice, the last gentle touch, the last witness to a life’s closing chapter.

We carry these words—not as burdens, but as reminders of why we show up, why we lean in, and why we whisper back, “You are not alone.”

Because while the world may never know their final sentences, hospice nurses do. And in carrying them, we honor every patient’s story, ensuring that no life closes without dignity, compassion, and presence.
