“ACRM was a saving grace during our infertility journey. We worked with Dr. Smeltzer and her team who were fantastic. She spends quality time with each of her patients going over the millions of questions you have, is detail oriented and most important understands the emotional rollercoaster this journey involves. The practice is fantastic with communication, efficiency and promptness. They go above and beyond to answer any questions in a VERY prompt manner and are so caring. The practice is so efficient which makes the millions of appointments pain free as you never spend time waiting like you do in a normal doctor office.”
5-Star Google Review 💙💚

Trying to conceive? It all starts with timing.
Tracking ovulation helps you understand your body’s cycle—and identify your most fertile days. Here’s how to spot ovulation and boost your chances of pregnancy:

Common signs of ovulation:
Cervical mucus becomes clear and stretchy (egg white texture)
Mild pelvic or lower abdominal pain (ovulation cramping)
Increased libido
Breast tenderness
Increase in basal body temperature after ovulation

Best tools to help:
Ovulation predictor kits (OPKs)
Fertility tracking apps

Knowing your cycle empowers you to time in*******se or fertility treatments more effectively.

Infertility is not a choice, but access to care should be.

For so many families, the path to parenthood is long, emotional, and expensive. Stories like the Glakas’ are why advocating for fertility coverage matters.

“After a year of trying to conceive on our own, my gynecologist referred us to ACRM. We had no idea what we were getting into as none of this was in our plans for having a child. Everyone at ACRM was so kind and helpful! While our journey with Dr. Smeltzer took us almost 5 years, she never lost faith and helped us conceive our beautiful Sadie with the help of IVF. This was the hardest, most emotional journey I have ever travelled—I would do it again in a heartbeat for this outcome! I can’t wait to work with ACRM again in the near future to hopefully give our daughter a sibling!” - Ashley Glakas

**Sweet Sadie is proof that access to care matters.**🧡

Here’s how you can take action to expand fertility access:

- Call or email your state and federal lawmakers to support family building legislation.

- Ask your employer about offering or improving fertility benefits.

- Join advocacy organizations like and participate in .

- Share your story (or amplify others) to break the stigma and raise awareness.

Let’s push for policies that expand access to fertility care—for everyone.

Infertility affects 1 in 6 people—but behind every statistic is a deeply personal story—one filled with hope, heartbreak, and resilience.

“In 2013 my husband and I decided to start growing our family. Little did we know the journey we would soon begin. I had unexplained infertility. We attempted 3 rounds of clomid, I had Hysteroscopy/Laparoscopy surgery. We tried 3 rounds of IUI. With no success. In 2017 we were blessed with our first daughter through the gift of adoption. In 2020 we heard about Dr. Hasty at ACRM. We fell in love with her immediately. We started the IVF processed and in March 2021 we transferred 1 of our 5 embryos. I gave birth to my son in November 2021. When he was 10 months old I found out I was naturally pregnant with twins. I truly am so grateful to ACRM for always making me feel seen and not like just another number. Our family would not have been completed without you!”

Jessica also wanted to add that Dr. Patel did her egg retrieval and Dr. Tiegs did her transfer🧡🧡

Infertility doesn’t always end with a baby. For some, the journey leads to a different path — one without children, but not without love, strength, or meaning.

This week, and always, we want to hold space for those who are child-free after infertility. It’s a path often unseen, misunderstood, or left out of the conversation — but it deserves recognition and respect.

Choosing to stop treatment, or finding peace when options run out, takes courage. Your story matters. Your experience is real. And you are not alone. 🧡

This National Infertility Awareness Week, we’re reminded exactly why we do what we do.

“I’m a former patient of Dr. Calhoun, and felt led to share our story. My husband and I started our ttc journey in early 2023, and were elated when we found out we were expecting in July. We lost the pregnancy 2 weeks later, but felt encouraged by the statistics that we would have a healthy pregnancy next time. We found out we were expecting a few months later. We suffered a missed miscarriage at our first ultrasound. After trying for several more months, we sought fertility care. After one failed medicated/monitored cycle, we were fortunate to have a positive pregnancy test. The day we got our positive test was the due date of our second angel baby. At our first ultrasound, we found out we were expecting twins, but lost Baby B at clinic graduation. Our triple rainbow baby, Harry, joined us on January 10, 2025 during the rare winter storm. We are so grateful to the entire ACRM team for helping us achieve our dream of becoming parents. It is not lost on us how fortunate we are.”

From heartbreak to hope, this journey is a powerful reminder of the resilience, love, and strength that define so many of our families. Baby Harry, your arrival during a winter storm was the brightest light after so much loss.

Stories like this are why we show up every day. And we know none of it would be possible without our incredible community — our dedicated team, our patients, our partners, and all those who support the mission of building families. 🧡

Thank you for trusting us to walk beside you.
