I remember after my first session at Trace Studios with Travis Daniels (*hits high note* yeeeeeeah) I said to Dave "I wanna do a whole project with him!" And in good old September/October of this year it hit me: I actually did a whole project with Trav. And it really forced me to deal with my insecurities about recording and hearing myself rap. At that point, Trav gave me a platform to really deal with it in a way that was therapeutic and craft-strengthening. My ear is a little different now. Other sonic shapes and sounds move me in a different way now.

Im really excited and insanely nervous about KING FOR A DAY but I know, deep down in my five-foot-four heart, that THIS is my REAL introduction. After remixing "The Fire Next Time" for NTRODUCTION TO IZMATICKZ 101 with Trav, the KING sessions were really fluid. He really gets me. And its a great feeling to know that when you think you're weird, there's someone who can catch your vision and bring it to life right in front of your face. Recording KING was a big learning lesson in accuracy and precision and timing and punch and personality within each song and....and lot of me being a Sagittarius and over-obsessing.

I'm long winded. Don't judge me. I'm working on it. I appreciate all of you who have been supporting me and checking out the music and downloading...it makes me feel like I'm doing the right thing.
