Studied Psychology at the University of Tennessee, Georgia State University and the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. I have worked in varied situations such as a women's correctional facility, a drug treatment program for men, a whole-life residential treatment center/reunification program for women and their families and hospital emergency rooms. I was also honored to be asked to coordinate an innovative HIV education program for a large county in Georgia for two years. In addition, i worked with acute mental illness patients at Emory Healthcare for 4 years. From 1989 on, I was fortunate enough to be mentored by one of the most skilled and influential psychiatrists of our generation and I am thrilled to be able to put my talents, education and experiences to work to help others. I have a primarily psychoanalytic approach, although I employ techniques and beliefs from other disciplines as needed. I believe striving to be the best YOU that you can be is a necessary and truly honorable endeavor. I am privileged to have been able to be a part of that journey with so many wonderful people in my career. I am certified and trained as a trauma counselor, an HIV specialist, an addiction specialist and an assessment specialist in addition to having my degree with a specialty in Counseling Psychology. My areas of professional interest include family or origin issues, children of narcissistic or borderline parents, depression, anxiety, sexual trauma and abuse, relationship and addiction treatment (after rehab). I provide in-office and concierge therapy services. I also offer supervision for APC’s. I have lived in Atlanta since 1988 and currently live in Alpharetta. I look forward to working with you!
