Our Story

I have been a sexuality educator and therapist for over 20 years. I see individuals and couples for a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, and intimacy issues. I specialize in sexuality issues as well as trauma related problems. I received a Master of Arts in Human Sexuality and a Master of Clinical Social Work from New York University. I graduated with my Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University. I was dually appointed as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Departments of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Psychiatry at Morehouse School of Medicine from 2009 to 2015 when I left to devote all my time to my practice in Alpharetta, GA. I have recently begun a wellness company after a number of friends were combating cancer. You don’t realize how many toxins you take in from the environment and just by cleaning your home! I have changed over my home to non-toxic, biodegradable cleaning products, makeup and other things. I invite you to come on this journey with me! Throughout my career, I have been a consultant to several agencies and companies like, Johnson Publishing and Ebony Magazine, where I had had the privilege of writing various articles around Black female sexuality. I developed an international survey for the magazine on the sexual attitudes and behaviors of Black women. I have presented at various professional national and international conferences around the sexuality needs of women. In addition, I have been featured on various radio talk shows around the country, including Jennifer Keitt, The Rickie Smiley Show to name a few. I have also served as the Executive Director of the Foundation for the Scientific Study of Sexuality from 1998- 2000 and served on a panel of experts for the Women’s Mental Health Consortium under the Office of Women’s Health in Washington, DC.

My passion is helping people reach their full potential whether it’s in the bedroom, the boardroom or both. If you would like to reach me to speak with your group or to your organization, you can reach me at 404-850-9568.

Yours in Wellness!

Dr. Hope
