As a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Loetscher manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Loetscher practices a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with expertise ranging from implant reconstructive surgery to corrective jaw surgery and wisdom tooth removal. In addition, Dr. Loetscher has one of the largest and most reputable dental implant practices in the southeast United States. Dr. Loetscher and his staff are fully trained in the administration of anesthesia, both general anesthesia and I.V. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery. In addition, general anesthesia provided by a board certified anesthesiologist, Howard Odom, MD, is available within our facility.

This patient also happens to be Dr. Loetscher’s daughter-reinforcing an important truth: sleep apnea can affect young, healthy individuals too. She was experiencing poor sleep, nighttime grinding and was waking up exhausted—every day.

Double jaw surgery addressed the structural cause, improving her airway and quality of sleep. Sleep apnea doesn’t discriminate by age.
