To wrap up programming each Friday, we prioritize gratitude & reflection of the week, building hobbies and having fun in the community. This past week, our women’s program spent time hiking & shared some of their key takeaways: Slowing down matters. Starting over actually comes with a lot of relief because it’s honest. Trusting that the timing will work out like it needs to and not trying to control it has changed me for the better.

What did you takeaway from this past week?

This week our clients have been exploring Step 3, which encourages them to turn their lives over to a higher power, emphasizing the importance of one’s willingness to embrace change. This step is about surrendering control.

Each client at Counterpoint has begun to recognize that sobriety goes beyond abstaining from substances; it includes building emotional resilience and healthy relationships.

Counterpoint’s program not only prioritizes education of the 12 steps but creates a community that helps men navigate challenges and celebrate successes, reinforcing the belief that recovery is achievable.

Brooke and Joy got to connect with the Blue Ridge clinicians last week to discuss Counterpoint’s programs.
