Dr. Reingold has a successful track record of mentoring gap year and post baccalaureate students to help them reach their goals of matriculating into health professional graduate programs.
As a Cardiology Medical Assistant on our team, you’ll support providers in both clinical and administrative capacities, helping patients achieve optimal cardiovascular health through advanced diagnostics, lifestyle medicine, nutrition, stress management, and more. Key Responsibilities
● Measure and record vital signs, patient history, and chief complaints during
patient intake.
● Prepare patients for cardiology examinations, perform simple diagnostic tests
tests, and assist providers during exams and procedures.
● Process patient phone messages, return calls, and relay information to the care team as appropriate.
● Call in prescriptions to pharmacies upon physician approval and authorization.
● Assist with patient check-in and check-out, including verifying insurance,
collecting co-pays, and updating patient information in the EMR system.
● Schedule and confirm appointments, facilitate referrals, and manage patient
reminder calls.
● Provide administrative support, including scanning and attaching medical
records, processing medication authorizations, and handling correspondence.
● Act as a resource for patients and families, reinforcing education and addressing
concerns.
● Support integrative care initiatives, including patient education on nutrition,
exercise, stress reduction, and holistic wellness strategies.
