✨ Is God a Butterfly? The Magic of Divine Transformation 🦋

Look at the butterfly - a master of transformation, constantly shifting between forms, yet always remaining itself. Isn't this the perfect metaphor for the divine consciousness we call God?

Just as a butterfly emerges from its chrysalis, our consciousness is constantly evolving, transforming, taking new shapes. The "magic" we seek isn't in spells or potions - it's in this divine dance of eternal transformation.

Quantum physics shows us that reality itself is in constant flux, particles shifting between states until observed. Like a cosmic butterfly effect, where consciousness shapes reality through its mere presence.

What we call "magic" is simply the moment when we glimpse this truth: that we are all expressions of this divine butterfly consciousness, constantly creating and recreating ourselves and our reality.

The real magic lies not in controlling reality, but in awakening to the truth that we ARE this magical transformation in motion. We are the butterfly AND the wind that carries it. We are the observer AND the observed.

When you understand this, you realize - magic doesn't exist as something separate from us. We ARE the magic. We are God experiencing itself in infinite forms, like a butterfly dancing across the cosmos.

I don’t think you’re simply tired,

I think you’re regenerating.

Like all of mother nature’s children in winter, your instinct is to curl up, hunker down and reset.

You’re not less.
You’re simply in tune with the sun.

And as the dark days begin to wane, your inner wild fortifies and evolves, bolstered and renewed, cocoon-style.

Ready for the new beginnings, ready for the reinvent.
Ready.
Simply ready.

So, let yourself be led down the rabbit hole, when the weariness washes over and your body begs to rest.

I don’t think you’re simply tired.
I think you’re regenerating.

Etched into the surface of the silver band on my wrist this morning are words from an 800-year-old prophet. I found the bracelet on a trip to Northern California not long after I retaught my body to walk following a nightmare spinal surgery that had rendered me paralyzed from the neck down. This was my victory trip.

I was 29 years old. On the outside. Inside life had inverted me. I felt 92. Trauma can do that to you.

I tell you the story today because I sense many of you feel as though you’ve aged overnight. Your heart may be graying at the temples. Your hope groaning and stiff when it tries to rise. The knees of your forgiveness may creak when you attempt to pray for better, for equal, for fair.

These words by Rumi encircle my wrist, but I can feel them reaching towards my heart as my pen reaches towards yours:

Drum beat rises on the air.
It’s throb, my heart.
A voice inside the beat says
‘I know you are tired.
But come.
This is the way.’

When you can no longer hear the melody of life, listen to the rhythm. When the rhythm fades, cling to the beat. Come back to the drum right there in your chest. Part lullaby, part battle cry, it is a map.

Ever beating, not beaten.

This is the way.

Elder’s Meditation of the Day December 19

“Flexible strength is better than inflexible. Let the storm flow over you, and then pop back up.”

Flexibility is taught by nature. You will see the trees bend in the wind. You will see that tree branches are flexible. To be rigid is to break. When we have life problems it is good for us to be flexible. Sometimes we need to flow with what is going on. If we resist, it becomes more painful. We need to be on the path of least resistance. Water flows down the mountain through the path of least resistance. Electricity flows through the path of least resistance. Power flows through the path of least resistance. As Indian people our strength has always been our flexibility.

Creator, I will be flexible today because I know You are with me.
