For years, many patients and clinicians relied on outdated guidance that painted hormone replacement therapy (HRT) with a broad warning. Now that’s changing!

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced the removal of misleading FDA warnings on menopausal HRT products, opening the door to evidence-based care and better options for symptom management and long-term health. With these changes, clinicians can approach HRT conversations with renewed clarity and confidence, guided by science and patient needs rather than outdated caution!

Genevieve Hofmann, DNP, WHNP-BC, MSCP, NPWH’s incoming president-elect, attended the press conference today on behalf of NPWH to represent nurse practitioners in women’s health during this critical discussion.
